Asparagus densiflorus ‘Sprengeri’, commonly known as the Asparagus Fern, is a graceful houseplant loved for its soft, feathery foliage and gently arching stems. Despite its name, it isn’t actually a true fern, but its delicate needle-like leaves create a light, airy texture that works beautifully in plant displays.

This plant forms lush mounds of bright green foliage that can spill softly over the edges of pots, making it a lovely choice for shelves, plant stands, or hanging planters. Its soft texture contrasts beautifully with bold-leaf houseplants and adds movement to indoor plant collections.

Native to southern Africa, Asparagus ferns are resilient and adaptable, making them a great option for both beginner plant owners and experienced collectors.

Plant Care

Light: Bright indirect light but can work in lower light conditions, but your fronds may change to a lighter shade of green.

Watering: They prefer to have moist but not soggy soil, so give your plant water when the top inch of the soil is starting to feel dry. Be careful not to overwater, you don't want to risk root rot, and don't let the soil dry out completely.

Temperature: 15-24°C so don't let them get too drafty this plant cant tolerate below 10°C

Potting: A well-draining mix that holds moisture is a great choice for these. Our Thirst Trap mix is a great choice

Hot tips: Humidity lovers! Great choice to add to your terrarium project or keep in a steamy (bright) bathroom.

Pet Friendly: NOPE, keep this away from your furry friends or in your terrarium out of paw reach. It's also best to avoid stroking this plant too much as tempting as it is the plant is not keen on it, and it can also cause skin irritation.

Good for Teething puppies
Color: Teething Stick
After getting my fingers chewed and bitten by my new foster - 8 week old Yorkie , I was desperate to find good teething toys. Fortunately this one arrived quickly. Turned out to be very good for teething puppies! Charlie loves this cooling stick. Once it’s frozen, the cold really seems to soothe his sore gums. The icy part doesn’t stay frozen for long, but it works so well that I bought a second one to keep ready in the freezer while he’s working on the first. Even after it warmed up, he still enjoyed chewing on the soft stuffed part and the tentacles. The product card says not to use it as a chew toy, so supervision is a must, but it held up just fine so far. Overall, this has been a big help during the teething phase — short-lived when frozen, but very effective while it lasts! And worth every penny to save my fingers from being a chew toy.

Great for a chewer
Color: Dogwood (Brown), Size: Large (Pack of 1)
My dog loves a hard toy and a durable one. My dog has been chewing on this for months and it is still holding strong. Because it is a hard toy when my dog brings this into another room with a hard floor and drops the toy it can be startling. My dog will choose this toy over others on a daily basis and brings the toy to other rooms.

Large is a little big for Bostons
Color: Dogwood (Brown), Size: Large (Pack of 1)
Seems to be durable for 2 VERY agressive chewer Boston Terriers. Cricket and Alice are shockingly good at chewing - grateful they pick to do so with thier toys. Trial vs other name brand competitor. PetStages' is a little larger so harder to bite on fir small dogs, but seems to be equally durable. While PetStages proudly states it has real wood fiber and scent (whoch I thought would win)... they prefered the other. Both dogs love to chew on real sticks. But, when the bossy one indicated she was taking over the stick the other dog had, they exchanged, and kept chewing, over and over, back and forth. I mean to say, whatever the prefered stick was at first didnt seem to matter later. These super hard chew toys do make me nervous. One dog broke a tooth last summer on a different brand toy, a very expensive extraction bill, and poor pup's terrible discomfort... but the other did not and has amazing white teeth, all around.... so.
