Perfect Indoor Greenery for Cold Climate Homes
The Green Wandering Jew (Tradescantia zebrina) is your ideal solution for bringing vibrant, lush greenery indoors during long winter months. While outdoor gardening takes a break in colder climates, this stunning trailing plant thrives year-round in your home.
Why Cold Climate Gardeners Love This Plant:
- Year-Round Beauty: Enjoy continuous growth and cascading green foliage even when snow covers your outdoor garden
- Humidity Helper: Naturally adds moisture to dry, heated indoor air during winter months
- Low-Light Tolerant: Thrives in the reduced natural light common during shorter winter days
- Easy Winter Care: Requires minimal maintenance when outdoor gardening isn't possible
- Fast Growing: Provides quick gratification and fills empty spaces rapidly
Care Instructions:
Place in bright, indirect light near a window. Water when the top inch of soil feels dry—typically once per week in winter. Prefers temperatures between 60-80°F, making it perfect for standard home heating. Trim occasionally to maintain shape and encourage fuller growth.
Perfect for: Hanging baskets, shelves, or as a trailing accent on plant stands. An excellent choice for keeping your green thumb active through the coldest months.
