Provide your plants with the essential energy for vigorous annual growth and peak health with Botanix 15-5-15 Spring Fertilizer for Deciduous Trees and Conifers. Specifically formulated for our climate, this fertilizer boosts the development of trees, hedges, and shrubs while strengthening their natural resistance. Its slow-release formula ensures constant and uniform fertilization for several weeks, guaranteeing a spectacular recovery starting in early spring.
Why Choose Botanix 15-5-15 Spring Fertilizer?
- Spring Vigor: Accelerates the growth of foliage and stems for a robust structure.
- Climate Protection: Increases plant tolerance to diseases, drought, and cold temperatures.
- Vibrant Blooming: Stimulates bud production and flowering for more colorful ornamental shrubs.
- Controlled Release: Prevents nutrient surges through a progressive diffusion of nitrogen.
Target Plants
This high-performance fertilizer is recommended for:
- Conifers and Hedges: Cedars, pines, spruces, and other evergreens.
- Deciduous Trees and Shrubs: Maples, oaks, and ornamental species.
- Flowering Shrubs: Ideal for supporting blooms and the formation of next year's buds.
Dosage and Application
Recommended Dosage:
- Shrubs: 75 ml (1/3 cup) per 60 cm (2 ft) of plant height.
- Trees: 500 ml (2 cups) per 5 cm (2 in) of trunk diameter.
- Cedar Hedges: 125 ml (1/2 cup) per linear metre (for a 1.5 m high hedge).
- Note: 125 g = 125 ml = 1/2 cup.
Quick Application Method:
- Grouped plants: Incorporate the fertilizer into the soil directly under the edge of the branches (drip line).
- Single subjects: Distribute the dose into a few holes dug under the edge of the branches, then cover with soil.
- Action: Water thoroughly after each application to activate the nutrients.
Botanix Expert Tips
- Schedule: Stop all fertilization after the end of July to allow woody tissues to harden before the first frost.
- Hydration: Never fertilize completely dry soil; moisture is key for roots to absorb minerals without burning.
Understanding the Formulation (N-P-K Analysis)
The 15-5-15 balance precisely meets the needs of large specimen plants:
- Nitrogen (15): Stimulates photosynthesis and intense greening of foliage.
- Phosphorus (5): Supports the root system and initial flower set.
- Potassium (15): Strengthens the cellular structure for better resistance to environmental stress.
