##The Seed Garden: The Art and Practice of Seed Saving by Shanyn Siegel, Lee Buttala (editors), 390 pages. Written by Micaela Colley and Jared Zystro. Published by the Seed Saver’s Exchange. Shanyn worked as collection curator for Seed Savers Exchange, conserving and promoting America’s culturally diverse but endangered food-crop heritage for future generations. As curator, Shanyn grew, evaluated, and saved seeds from thousands of heirloom and open-pollinated vegetable varieties. Lee Buttala is an Emmy Award–winning television producer of Martha Stewart Living and was the creator, producer, and director of Cultivating Life, a PBS series on outdoor living and gardening.
This is a beautiful and well illustrated book for new and experienced seed gardeners. Section describes seed saving fundamentals. Section II gives profiles for the major vegetable crops. Salted through the book are informative Master Classes inserts. The Appendix include seed screen sizes, germination test parameters, seedborne diseases and regional seed considerations. If you are a visual person this beautifully photographed book is for you.

Waste of money...
The concept is interesting, however this particular product is a fail. There is not enough elastic/support and the seam by your toes moves quite a bit when you walk allowing the material to swallow your toes and can bunch up under the pad of your foot. Very uncomfortable and annoying. Don't waste your money, these socks belong in the trash!

This sock has a seem between 2 toes -very uncomfortable.
These are exactly the socks I needed to wear after breaking my foot, but there is a big, thick seam sewn in, between my big toe and the next toe. Extremely uncomfortable. I had to use a seam ripper to remove the threads on these socks, so I could wear them. We were leaving on a 4-week trip the next morning, I had no time to return them.

That they are not as they appear in photos.
The photos do not show that there is a section for the big toe and the rest is open. The photo shows as if the whole toe section is one opening instead of two.
They work for what I want but just not what I thought they would be.

Not as pictured
The pictures make it seem like these are open all the way across. There are actually two holes. It is quite tight on the big toe. I will keep these, however I would not order these again.
