Variety origin
Philodendron 'Cherry Red' is a horticultural hybrid selected for vivid red new leaves and a compact, self-heading form. Likely related to the P. erubescens group, known for its reddish juvenile foliage.
Developed for interiors to deliver a reliable color “flash” with each new leaf, while being easy to care for. Its popularity comes from its showy foliage without the need for climbing support, ideal for modern homes and offices.
