Anthurium Crystallinum Minahasa – A Rare and Elegant Hybrid

Anthurium Crystallinum Minahasa is a rare hybrid variety of Anthurium Crystallinum, known for its thicker, more structured foliage and intense silver veining. This variety originates from the Minahasa region, making it a special addition to any tropical houseplant collection.

Velvety Leaves with Bold Contrast

  • Features heart-shaped, deep green leaves with bright silver veins, creating a dramatic look.
  • Unlike traditional Crystallinum, this hybrid has stronger, more durable foliage.
  • New leaves emerge with a reddish or bronze hue, adding to its exotic appeal.

Easy Maintenance and Growth

  • Thrives in bright, indirect light and can tolerate lower light levels.
  • Prefers high humidity and consistent watering—avoid letting the soil dry out completely.
  • Benefits from a well-draining potting mix with organic materials like sphagnum moss and perlite.

How to Keep It Healthy and Thriving

  • Wipe the velvety leaves regularly to prevent dust buildup and pests.
  • Monitor for spider mites and thrips, as these pests love Anthurium varieties.
  • Fertilize monthly with a gentle, balanced fertilizer to maintain strong, vibrant leaves.

With its bold silver veining, structured growth, and easy-care routine, Anthurium Crystallinum Minahasa is a fantastic choice for those who appreciate rare, tropical plants.

Beautiful book with great pictures and historic notations
I bought this for my daughter who is a great plane enthusiast and makes regular trips to the Boeing Flight Museum in South Seattle. She visited this museum once and loves this book as a commemoration of that event.

Air and space
Format: Hardcover
I bought this book for my friend who was scheduled to see the Smithsonian Air and Space museum when he broke his hand. Sadly he wasn’t able to go to the museum but absolutely loved this book I bought him! It has so many things the museum has in it. If you or a friend cannot make it down to DC this is definitely a must buy!!!

Great Annotated Aircraft Encyclopedia
Format: Hardcover
This book was a gift for my husband who is an aircraft fanatic. We live near an airbase, which is now out of commission, but in the past, there was an aircraft museum with information about aircraft, which fascinated my husband. This book was a great surprise for him because it is not just full of pictures, but also includes text about the history, building, and uses of each aircraft.

Great Guide to the National Air & Space Museum
I recently visited the Smithsonian National Air & Space Museum. It was the first time I'd been there since they moved into their current facility in the mid-1970's. It was breathtaking. The best way to describe the effect of walking in the main entrance is to envision the bedroom of a boy who hangs model airplanes from the ceiling. Only at the NASM, the "models" hanging from the ceiling are full-size. I was a model-building boy in the 1950's, and my favorites were planes I'd built from kits. Unfortunately, the museum was undergoing some of its regular updating and a few of my favorite planes weren't on view, such as the F89 Super Saber. Fortunately, that plane and most (if not all) the permanent collection are profiled in the Best of the National Air and Space Museum. If at all possible, visit the museum. If you can't get there, buy the book. Actually, buy the book in either case. You won't be disappointed.
