The flower is zygomorphic with 2 large petals pointing upwards and two much smaller ones pointing downwards.

Pedoclimatic needs

Grow in moderately fertile, very well-drained soil in the sun. Not rustic. In winter it resists up to +1°/+3°C and must be kept dry. It can be grown in the ground in Mediterranean gardens, where temperatures do not fall below freezing. In colder climates it can be grown in pots, placed outdoors during spring and summer and sheltered during autumn and winter.
