You can direct sow these in mild climates, but we suggest you start them early in pots in warmer parts of zones 7-8.

Prepare a shallow dish, like a pie pan, with 1/2" of very warm tap water (out of the faucet hot - do not exceed 140 degrees). Place your seeds in the warm water and let it cool where you need to let your seeds soak for at least 24 hours. Direct sow seeds and cover lightly with peat or compost. Lupine require consistent moisture and failure to germinate is usually due to dry spring weather. You can not direct seed in late spring or summer unless you live in a very mild climate.

You can start these early in pots but they dislike being transplanted so use a 4" peat pot and do not remove from the pot when transplanting, or seed in the pot they are going to stay in. Keep you potting mixture moist during germination and letting your seed bed dry out will ensure little or no germination. Once your plants are at least 2" tall you can transplant them into the garden in spring after your last frost. Seedlings initially create round leaves, but after their true leaf set they send up palm frond shaped leaves (see last photo).

Lupine will not germinate in hot spring or summer weather.

Nice material but do not recommended for aggressive chewers
Color: Blue-Green-Orange, Color: Blue-Green-Orange
Why did you pick this product vs others?: The material is nice and easy to wash but definitely do not recommend for large breeds/ aggressive chewers. My big pup ripped one up within seconds of getting it. The ball has lasted!

Perfect for Aggressive Chewers
Color: Blue-Green-Orange
I've been looking for toys my German Shepherd puppies can't tear apart or chew into little bits within minutes. These are tough enough to stand up to them and have the added benefit of helping their teeth with the little surface nubs. This is the second set I've purchased - not because the puppies destroyed them, but because they needed a set for inside as well as outside. I HIGHLY recommend these toys if your dog is a destruction machine!!

Durable, sensory texture
Color: Blue-Green-Orange
These are fantastic. They are durable and high quality. My dog loves the sensory texture and they satisfy his aggressive chewing. I've bought other high-end, popular brands and he chewed through it in less than two hours. I would definitely buy these again (if I even had to)!
