Philodendron verrucosum × serpens is a rare velvet-leaf hybrid combining the velvety, deep green foliage and striking pale veining of verrucosum with the compact, textured petioles of serpens. The leaves emerge with a soft, slightly bronzed tone before maturing into rich green velvet with pronounced contrast veins, while the undersides often show a subtle reddish flush. Its climbing habit is supported by the serpens influence, producing steady, structured growth along a moss pole or plank. It thrives in bright, indirect light with high humidity, warmth, and a very airy, moisture-retentive substrate that allows consistent but gentle hydration between waterings.
