Our soil moisture meter measures water at the root level - where plants need water most. With this meter, you will avoid over-watering or under-watering your household plants.
This soil moisture meter has a bi-metal probe that gauges the conductivity of soil to measure moisture content. It indicates readings from 1 to 10 (dry to wet) on a display. By consulting the accompanying guide, listing moisture requirements for 170 plant types, you can easily determine whether a plant needs water immediately or has been over-watered. For example, a reading of 1 indicates adequate water for a geranium while a fern (optimal moisture level 6) would be in desperate need of water. This meter is designed to use only in soil. Ideal for houseplants, window boxes, patio planters and hanging baskets.
The soil moisture meter makes it easy to assess your plant's true watering requirements. It has a 26.5-inch long flexible cord, so you can hold the meter in one hand to view results, while using your other hand to insert the 4.25-inch probe into the soil.
