Monstera Burle Marx flame is an intriguing cultivar named after the renowned Brazilian landscape architect Roberto Burle Marx. Unlike other Monsteras, this variety is notable for its distinct "flame" shape in mature leaves rather than any variegation. The leaves initially emerge as entire, drop-shaped structures but gradually develop into deeply pinnatifid forms with widely spaced leaflets.
Though it shares some superficial similarities with Monstera deliciosa, particularly with the var. sierrana, the Burle Marx flame stands out due to its narrow, widely spaced leaflets, making it easy to distinguish. Despite being more common than in the past, it remains a rare and highly sought-after addition to any collection.
Message us today for our pricelist on the widest selection of rare, variegated aroids including Monstera, Alocasia, Anthurium, Philodendron, Hoya, Syngonium, and more.
