In the mid-atlantic, elephant ears should be treated as annuals, however the bulbs can be harvested at the end of the growing season (October) and stored in a cool dry place during winter months. They can be replanted in spring.
Elephant ears thrive in dappled sun, but can tolerate more or less sun if needed. They LOVE water and should be watered regularly.
