Rare pink variegation for true plant royalty
Philodendron ‘Pink Princess’ M | Fast EU shipping | Grown with love in the EU | Pet-toxic
Summary: Philodendron ‘Pink Princess’ stuns with its deep burgundy-green leaves splashed with bubblegum pink, bringing bold, regal elegance to your indoor jungle with minimal fuss.
✨ Why You'll Love the Philodendron ‘Pink Princess’
- Striking variegation: dark green and burgundy leaves with vivid pink patches
- Highly sought-after collector’s plant for statement styling
- Moderately easy care for such a rare beauty
- Perfect for brightening modern apartments and plant shelves
- Average height: 25-35 cm | Growth: Upright climbing habit – ideal for moss poles or supports
🌞 Light & Placement
Thrives in bright, indirect light to maintain its pink variegation. Avoid direct sun, which can scorch leaves. Place near east or north-facing windows with filtered light for optimal growth.
💧 Water & Humidity
Allow the top 2–3 cm of soil to dry before watering. Loves moderate to high humidity (50–70%); mist occasionally or place near a humidifier, especially during winter heating.
🪴 Soil & Potting
Use a well-draining aroid mix rich in orchid bark, perlite, and coco coir to encourage airflow and prevent root rot. Repot every 1–2 years in spring when roots begin to crowd the pot.
🐾 Toxicity & Safety
Toxic to pets and humans if ingested due to calcium oxalate crystals. Keep out of reach of cats, dogs, and small children.
🌱 Growth & Propagation
Moderate grower. Propagate via stem cuttings with at least one pink variegated node in water or sphagnum moss during spring or summer to produce new pink beauties.
📆 Seasonal & Special Care
Rotate regularly to ensure even growth and variegation exposure. Fertilise monthly during spring and summer with a balanced, diluted fertiliser to support vibrant foliage.
🐛 Common Issues
Low light may reduce pink variegation, while overwatering can cause root rot. Watch for spider mites or thrips; treat with neem oil if needed and maintain good airflow.
🧬 Botanical Background
Philodendron ‘Pink Princess’ is a hybrid cultivar in the Araceae family, bred for its unique pink variegation. Its rare beauty makes it one of the most coveted plants in European indoor collections.
