Toona Sinensis Chinese Mahogany is a stunningly beautiful ornamental deciduous tree native to across much of Asia, most notably from China where it has been grown in nature reserves, important cultural sites such as temples and as a bonsai for many centuries! After all, the true meaning of Bonsai is to mimic nature in all her glory, and to this end, Toona Sinensis Chinese Mahogany does not disappoint. With its dark-brown textured bark, ornate branching and brilliant Spring coloration (cherry bronze new growth), Toona Sinensis Chinese Mahogany is an old time favourite. Toona Sinensis Chinese Mahogany is covered with a spectacular display of new seasons growth in Spring, before the leaves mature to a deep green colour throughout Summer, before turning a pale green-yellow and becoming fully deciduous generally by the end of Autumn (particularly in cold environments).

As a true mahogany, the wood of Toona Sinensis Chinese Mahogany is a highly sort after redwood used for highly valuable applications such as designer furniture and the main body of electric guitars. As it takes many years for Toona Sinensis Chinese Mahogany to reach a harvestable age for timber, the tree is more commonly used as a source of leaf-vegetable as the young Spring growth is edible and used in stir-frys to provide an onion like flavour. In more recent times, a range of natural compounds have been extracted by scientists from Toona Sinensis Chinese Mahogany which have been found to provide a wide-spectrum of benefits for a range of patient groups including diabetes and cancer sufferers.

Given its relatively slow growth rate, Toona Sinensis Chinese Mahogany is suitable as a bonsai, provided the germinated seeds are grown in a low-organic matter soil (sandy loam), to ensure the plant remain non-apical (not vertically vigorous). The tap-root should either be snipped or curled (J-rooted) within the first 8-weeks, to ensure the plant remains suitable for bonsai.

Just right for protecting river trip guides
Size: Regular - 12 x 16 Inches
Nice and durable - heavy duty. Getting ziplock to close is a pain though - lick or spit helps.

Misleading size
Size: Regular - 12 x 16 Inches, Size: Regular - 12 x 16 Inches
The quoted size (12 x 16) includes the webbing and unusable area due to the sealant. The actual size of map that can be fit is a little under 10.5 x 14.5 inch. It's annoying that I can't get my Fisher maps (22 .5 x 28.5 inch) in on a single fold.

Fantastic Watch - Premium Look
Color: yelllow
I am definitely a watch person. I have probably 10-12 watches included a Movado, two Esquires, and multiple Stuhrlings. I like watches that look classy but are considered mid-line (or even upper low line) luxury. This watch has the look and display of a much more expensive Garmin. It has a very clean layout and super easy to read. I have been approached by people thinking I was wearing a Garmin watch and little did they know, it was a lowly $20 watch. Granted, you can feel its lower quality when you hold it in your hand. It is not as heavy and doesn't feel as durable. But it is $20 so what can you expect? I have not tested its waterproof abilities but I will say it works amazing for jogging and bicycling with. My yellow watch has stayed relatively clean and does not have any weird stains that you might normally think would occur on a low quality band such as sweat stains or dirt stains. So far I am very happy and it is now almost a year later. The battery seems to be going strong and the display does not show any signs of fading. I like the color selection and the simplicity so much that I may buy a few more colors just so I can change it up periodically. But for now, I am sticking with just the one.
