Form and performance — can one exist without the other? It shouldn't. The CYBEX VR3 resistance strength line exercises the theory that form and performance belong together. VR3 is a collection of machines that combine striking appearance, excellent performance, genuine comfort and accessibility — without sacrificing the goal of functionality. If you want form and performance, the VR3 line delivers both. The Lateral Raise is a machine intended to train the medial deltoid which is exactly what the VR3 Lateral Raise does. The location of the medial deltoid varies from person to person and most lateral raise machines are not designed to accommodate these differences. Cybex has designed the Lateral Raise to allow the user to align the muscle with the movement so that users are training the muscle they expect to. This is the commercial strength line that competes with the best others have to offer. A group of machines that combines striking appearance with rugged durability, VR3 has been engineered to take the tough punishment a heavy duty commercial environment requires. And it works for the highly supervised gyms as well as the self-serve facility. The padded arms are angled slightly to encourage a “neutral” shoulder position and to eliminate external rotation (undesirable in this movement). A floating handgrip helps locate the user’s forearm and provides consistent positioning. VR3 uses a standard seated user position that allows even an inexperienced user to maintain a stable and consistent position throughout the movement. Also, because there is no chest pad, the core musculature is strengthened because it is forced to maintain the body’s stabilization. The gas assisted seat adjusts for user height.

  • Range Limiting Device: This CYBEX patent-pending technology ensures that regardless of starting position selected, the cam is synchronized with each individual user. It matches their performance level, maintaining the integrity of force curve throughout the range of motion while taking into account their limits and abilities. Start RLD (adjustable start only) provides start positions every 10˚. Total RLD (adjustable start and finish) provides start and end positions every 10˚
  • Fully Enclosed Weight Stacks: Enclosed weight stacks help shield bystanders and users from inadvertent contact with the moving weight stack, creating a safer workout environment. The fully enclosed stacks give a sleek appearance and comply with ASTM and EN standards.
  • Dependent Converging and Diverging Movement: The dependent movement provides a feeling of exceptional stability and ease throughout each movement, while the aligned path of motion provides consistent loading through the complete range. The consistent torque application maximizes the training force of the muscle while minimizing joint stress. Users of all levels will embrace the progress they make.
  • Gas Assist Seat: Our intuitive seat base adjustment design uses gas spring assist to allow adjustments to the seat height without requiring the user to leave the machine. Both the seat base and seat backs have position indicators to enable the user to consistently duplicate a position on the machine.
  • Second Generation Twist Select Increment Weight System: Patent-pending system allows user to adjust the weight 5 pounds (2.5 kg) at a time with a simple turn of the knob—nothing to slide, drop or lose. Patent-pending system is also completely balanced for drag free operation and includes integrated oiling capabilities, resulting in reduced time and mess associated with guide rod maintenance.
  • Contoured Molded Pads: Ergonomically contoured molded pads provide better support for a variety of movements, as well as a more contemporary overall look.
  • Instructional Guide: High contrast three-color placards use straightforward language and pictures for easy-to-read instructions.
  • Molded Rubber Feet: Rubber feet protect your floor and help keep your machines in place.
  • Belt Drive: The belt drive provides a direct, smooth feel and virtually no drag while offering ease of maintenance by eliminating dedicated length cables.
  • Dry Grip Technology: Non-absorbent gripping material provides extra security for your grip.
  • Variable Resistance: The resistance profile of each movement has been designed into the machine, assuring that the resistance provided mirrors the body’s capability throughout the range of motion.

This sunscreen has worked well for me and I like that it is a mineral formula. The main thing to know is that it can take a little effort to rub in fully so you do not see it on your skin, but I do not consider that a major problem. That is pretty normal with many mineral sunscreens, and I would rather deal with that than use something that does not agree with my skin. Once applied, I have been happy with it and have no real complaints. Overall, it has been a good face sunscreen for me.

I’d call this a liquid and not lotion. It literally pours out of the tube without even squeezing so has to be held upright at all times when the cap is off. Makes a real mess (and I do shake it well before opening as the instructions say). Other than the packaging, I really like the product. It blends well with no white cast after rubbing in, is moisturizing without looking greasy at all or causing breakouts, and has provided good sun protection. Impressed! Also like that while water and sweatproof, it washes off with a gentle face cleanser at the end of the day unlike some of the zinc-based products I’ve tried that leave a thick coating and require scrubbing. This is my first Blue Lizard product and I’ll probably keep using it as a daily sunscreen—but definitely not to throw in a bag and take to the beach because of the messy application. Bought the stick version to try out.

Great for sensitive skin and actually dries clear!

I'm trying to be on top of my sunscreen application after YEARS of never wearing it. My skin is extremely sensitive and prone to eczema. Any chemical sunscreen that was applied to my body (especially the elbow/knee pits) would cause me to break out in horrible eczema patches. I switched to mineral sunscreen, but everything left a ghostly white sheen. Luckily, this sunscreen does exactly as advertised. I've been using it daily for a week straight, and I have had no problems with it. The consistency of this product is thick, kinda sticky at first, and a bit hard to blend/spread out, but I think that's bound to happen with any sunscreen that's actually protective. It may also seem that it leaves a white cast initially, but after letting it dry for a minute or two, it becomes clear. Overall I can't recommend this enough, and I'm glad to finally have a sensitive-skin-friendly mineral sunscreen that doesn't leave a white cast :)

Where has this been my whole life

Let me give you some background. I’m middle eastern. That means I tan well but have two different skin tones; my January skin and my July skin. I wear a watch and I’ve been out of the sun since September. My tan hasn’t totally faded but the lighter band, that’s my real skin color. That’s how I want to be all over. I always try to make better choices in my skin products. I have tried so many mineral based sunscreens for my face and body but I usually end up returning to a chemical based one for several reasons. HOWEVER, I have finally found the product I’ve been searching for. Blue Lizard leaves no white cast on my skin. It’s easy to rub in. It also does not get trapped in my dense, black eyebrows the way other products did. It would gross me out and look like I had flakes in my eyebrows. I just spent the week at Universal Studios and I did not burn. I didn’t tan either, which is great. Tanning is also a sign of sun damage. Chemical or mineral sunscreens often prevent sunburn but I still tan. I don’t want either. I am sold and will continue to buy this product. I feel great about that it has safer and better quality ingredients.
