The leaves are adorned with very attractive white stripes and spots and can reach up to 50 cm in length and width. Furthermore, they have a strong three-dimensional structure due to the sunken veins.To get such large leaves on your own P. mamei , two things are absolutely necessary:
On the one hand, the plant needs plenty of indirect light, but no direct sunlight.
On the other hand, P. mamei needs a climbing support to which it can cling with its aerial roots. Only then will it develop its huge and spectacular leaves.
With good care, P. mamei grows quite quickly and forms large leaves in a short time.
