Common Name: Crested Apple Cactus (Rojo Form)

Cereus peruvianus fa. monstrose 'Rojo' is a rare and highly sought-after crested cactus with deep blue-green to reddish-purple coloring and unpredictable, sculptural growth. Unlike standard columnar forms, this monstrose and often crested variety grows in wild, twisted formations—sometimes stacking, folding, or fanning out in dramatic shapes. The “Rojo” form refers to its tendency to blush with red or burgundy tones under bright light or stress.

This cactus is a true showpiece for any collector looking for unique form and color in one specimen. No two plants are alike, making each one a living work of art.

☀ Light Requirements
Thrives in full sun to very bright light. Outdoors, it handles strong sun well; indoors, place in your brightest window to maintain color and compact growth. Increased light brings out deeper red tones.

💧 Watering Needs
Water deeply when the soil is completely dry. This drought-tolerant cactus prefers infrequent watering and excellent drainage. Reduce watering in winter.

🌡 Temperature Tolerance
Cold-hardy to about 30–35°F in dry conditions. Protect from frost. For colder climates or winter orders, add a [Heat Pack] for safe delivery.

✨ Special Features
• Monstrose & Crested Growth – Wild, unpredictable forms with fan-like or clustered growth
• Reddish Blush – Develops stunning red or burgundy tones in strong light
• Sculptural & Rare – A true collector’s piece that’s as hardy as it is unique

Other Common Names:
Crested Apple Cactus, Monstrose Cereus Rojo, Twisted Torch Cactus

This cactus will ship bare root and will be ready to place directly in a well draining soil mix like our Custom Cactus Mix.

Of course, if you receive a plant that you are dissatisfied with please reach out to us. We want to make it right!

If temperatures near you are below 45℉ we highly recommend adding a Heat Pack to your order.
If temperatures where you live will be much lower than 20℉ even heat packs may not work. You may consider waiting until things warm up a bit. We know you love your plants just like we do and we wouldn't want any of them to freeze.

Don’t buy for restaurant industry
Size: 10.5, Color: Black, Size: 10.5, Color: Black
Good looking shoes, fairly comfortable and good value based on the description shared, so I don’t feel it’s fair to rate them lower than 4 stars. I had high hopes for them based on previous reviews from others saying they wore them in the food and beverage industry that mentioned their quality and durability, however I strongly recommend looking elsewhere if you do. I purchased these to wear working in a full service upscale restaurant and in less than two months have managed to have torn the material on the middle exterior section and the bottoms of the shoes are already completely worn down. Good design, but the durability needs to be improved if they’re to hold up for that industry.

DO NOT BUY (lasted less than 7 months)
Size: 11, Color: Black, Size: 11, Color: Black
I bought these for work as a bartender in August of 2025. By December, the tops were scuffed, frayed, and peeling beyond repair, and by February, the soles were coming off. I’ve never had a pair of shoes with such low quality.
