CULTURE

Soil temperature: 70 degrees fahrenheit
Germination lighting: Light required
Germination days: 20 days
Plant spread: 24"
Plant height: 33''
Plant type: Biennial
Maturation days: 365 days

For zones 4-9 money plant is easy to grow, but keep in mind they are biennials and will flower in their second year.

You can direct sow these in early winter by sowing on your garden bed surface and lightly dust with screened peat. Don't bury the seeds too deeply as they need light to germinate.

You can also start these in pots, or direct sow in spring, after cold treating the seeds. Mix your seeds with 1/8 cup of sand or screened peat and add 1 teaspoon of water so your mixture is moist but not soggy. Place in your refrigerator (not freezer) for 60 days. After 60 days let your mix dry out on the counter then and sow into pots. These need light to germinate so when sowing into pots sow the seeds on the surface of your potting mixture and lightly dust with sand or vermiculite. Transplant into your garden after your last frost.

If direct sowing in spring, after the cold treatment described above, sow on the surface and lightly dust with screened peat.

Supports DP Alt + Power Delivery from one source
This is one of the very, very few USB-C hubs out there that successfully pushes DisplayPort Alt and 100w PD functionality from one source cable to one device. My monitor has a USB-C DP alt port that also pushes 95w PD and this hub successfully pushes both of those to my laptop, phone, and android handheld console. The marketing material says something about USB PD cannot work with DP alt, but it seems to be working fine for me so who knows. With this little hub in-between the link from the monitor to the device, I can now add a USB ethernet adapter and game controller, and I only ever have to plug one USB-C cable into my device (and I am using a USB4 extension cable with no issues as well) and it all works perfectly!

Supports Reverse Charging a Laptop on Monitors with USB-C PD!
This adapter is unique in that it supports reverse charging + video on the same port. I use this with an LG monitor (60W PD) and an M1 Pro Mac. At first, I had connectivity issues: hub was disconnecting and reconnecting every few seconds. I followed advice to update the firmware on the hub, but that didn't solve the issue. Turns out, my monitor also needed a firmware update. Once I updated the monitor firmware, it stabilized and has been working great ever since.

Works perfectly with Macbook Air M2 - power, audio, video, sleep/wake, in clamshell mode!
My monitor has a USB-C video input that supports power delivery - so I was supposed to be able to charge my laptop with the same connection that goes to the monitor. Have had trouble finding an unpowered hub that actually supports all this without any hiccups, but according to all the specs I knew this was supposed to be possible. But this one does! Now I can connect my apple laptop to my monitor, keyboard and mouse, and run in clamshell mode or with the laptop open, and it charges, wakes from sleep, does all the things I want. It also sends audio to the monitor (as it should). And I only need one USB-C connection to my laptop to do all this. Note: I just got this hub so I don't know about longevity, and I haven't tested transfer speeds from all the ports on the hub, because that's not a big concern for me.

So far, so good. It's a USB-C hub, Anker has been doing USB hubs and power supplies for many years
I've always been impressed with Anker products, and great customer service! I do feel like they are starting to abandon the Android side of things recently, and the selection of cables has declined. USB-A cables seem to be discontinued, as well as USB-B. I did have a really great CSR experience a while back. I had bought a Lithium Ion car battery jumpstarters, and had not used it for several years. I needed it one night, and the cables to connect to the battery had failed. Couldn't start my car. Even though the warranty was expired, and the product was even discontinued, they shipped me (at their cost) a replacement set of cables. Now a loyal customer.
