- Multi-season interest—different varieties bloom successively from midsummer through fall.
- Produces large, cheerful flowers that make beautiful cut arrangements or garden backdrops.
- Loved by pollinators and wildlife, providing nectar, pollen, and seeds for birds.
Why Gardeners Love This Sunflower Mix:
- Colorful Blooms for Every Space – Shades of yellow, red, orange, burgundy, and chocolate brown bring warmth and vibrancy.
- Low Maintenance – Easy to grow in full sun and well-drained soil with moderate watering.
- Adaptable to All Climates – Thrives across USDA Zones 3–10, perfect for home gardens or wildflower borders.
- Seed Saving Friendly – Open-pollinated, heirloom seeds you can replant or share each season.
- Long-Lasting & Reliable – Seeds stay viable for years when stored in a cool, dry location.
How to Grow Sunflowers from Seed:
- When to Plant: Sow directly outdoors after the last frost, once the soil warms to 60°F (16°C) or higher.
- Soil & Sun: Choose a full-sun location with well-drained soil.
- Spacing: Sow seeds 12–18 inches apart; taller types may need staking for support.
- Watering: Keep soil evenly moist until seedlings establish; then water moderately once a week.
- Bloom Time: Expect blooms from mid-summer through early fall, depending on variety and region.
Harvest & Use:
Enjoy a continuous parade of blooms in your garden or harvest for bouquets, pollinator habitats, or wildlife feeding. As the season ends, allow flower heads to dry on the stalk—birds will flock to enjoy the seeds, or you can save them for replanting next year.
