Native Range: Wet Pocosins of the Gulf Coast from Georgia to the Mississippi Delta
Zones: 7-9 (6-10)

The White-Topped Pitcher Plant, Sarracenia leucophylla is a tall southern pitcher plant with distinctively red and white colored trumpets. White areoles (windows) dominate the upper portions of the tubes which attract many flying insects, particularly wasps. Sarracenia leucophylla has two trap seasons, producing a few nice traps in the Spring, but a burst of large vigorous traps in the Fall, when it is very showy and other pitcher plants dwindle. It prefers open, sunny, damp conditions, but tolerates semi-dry ones. Trumpets tolerate light frost. The showy flowers are red and mildly fragrant. They generally bloom from April to May before the pitchers fully develop. Appearing white from a distance, these plants are a wonder accent or spectacular group display in the bog garden. This selection comes from seed, and will show some natural variations.

Seed Packs are fresh harvested in Summer, and stored refrigerated. Seed count is approximate, but reliable.

Note: Stratification is required to prepare seeds for germination. We recommend using our Stratification Sand. All seeds are produced from open pollination within our collection. Some cross pollination may occur, and seed offspring may or may not be true to mother plant. Growing carnivorous plants from seeds is best suited for the experienced and patient grower. See our webpage on Growing CPs from Seeds.

Height: 8"-28"
Plant Type: Perennial, Temperate to Warm Temperate.
Soil: Upper Bog Mix or All Purpose Mix
Light: Bright indoors, full sun to partial sun outdoors.
Use: Grows well in the bog garden or temperate greenhouse. It is an excellent accent plant.

Not amazing, but not the worst.
I hate sunscreen and to varying degrees chemical or mineral sunscreens. This was promised as grease free and smooth, but it comes out watery and does feel greasy, but once applied on the skin it does feel smooth. UPDATE: I got a suntan after slathering this on my face. I would say this lasts about an hour and a half. The suntan happened 15 minutes before the two hour "clock" was up. Disappointing. Back to mineral sunscreen.

Great product makes my skin look dewy and soft with no powdery biproduct
Size: 3 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
Excellent product. It looks white on my fingertips but absorbs as a clear product which feels soft, cool, and gel-like on my skin. I usually use it with a gel moisturizer but I think one can use it on its own.

Sunscreen for Combination and Sensitive Skin
Size: 3 Fl Oz (Pack of 1), Size: 3 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
I’ve been buying different skincare products because I really want to improve the way my skin looks and feels. My skin type is combination, with a history of acne, some acne marks, enlarged pores (especially on my nose and cheeks), a dull and slightly dry tone, occasional sensitivity, a light expression line on my forehead, and sometimes dry patches. As you can see, I have quite a few concerns, so I have to be careful with the products I use. 💬 I chose this Sunscreen, and I’ve absolutely loved it! The texture is lightweight and keeps my skin well-hydrated throughout the day. My face doesn’t look dull anymore — it looks fresh and naturally glowy, which I really appreciate. I also love how quickly it absorbs without leaving any greasy or sticky feeling. And of course, the most important part: it really protects my skin from the sun.

Great product but expensive and small
Size: 3 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
This looks great on the skin, it's a very good product. Expensive for the size though, the tube is more like travel size. I think it's worth it if you have sensitive or acne-prone skin as this didn't break me out like traditional sunscreens, but I think it's expensive for how much you get.
