Seeds from large tasty sour cherries from the Romance series, the seedlings will have some genetic variation with fruit that's similar to the popular cultivars. Our seeds are from a mix of Juliet, Valentine, Cupid, Romeo and Crimson Passion. They're a hybrid cherry 75% Prunus cerasus and 25% Prunus fruiticosa, named Prunus x kerrasis after the breeding work of Dr. Kerr.  Sour Cherries are different from the common sweet cherries you find at the grocery store, they range from 1/2" to 3/4" in size, they have excellent flavour fresh off the tree and while more tartness, they also have a high sugar content when fully ripe.

Stratification: 1 month warm followed by 3-5 months cold.   Cherry seeds can benefit from a period of warm stratification, followed by several months of cold.  Planting outside in the fall is a simple and effective method.
