Calochortus eurycarpus, commonly called the Sagebrush Mariposa Lily, is a captivating perennial wildflower native to the western United States. This species showcases elegant, cup-shaped flowers ranging in color from creamy white to soft lavender or pink, marked with intricate patterns and blotches at the base of each petal. Flourishing in dry, well-drained soils prevalent in sagebrush plains and rocky terrains, this resilient plant thrives in arid environments and is often found in open meadows or alongside roadsides. Blooming in late spring to early summer, the Sagebrush Mariposa Lily attracts pollinators like bees and butterflies. Known for its ornamental beauty and ecological role as a nectar source, this species adds charm to native gardens and natural landscapes while contributing to local biodiversity. Zones 4-7

Germination

To successfully germinate Calochortus eurycarpus seeds, start by mimicking their natural dormancy-breaking process. Provide a period of cold stratification by refrigerating them for a few weeks. Begin by preparing a well-draining planting medium composed of a mix of sand and peat or a commercial seed-starting mix. Sow the seeds on the surface of the soil mixture, pressing them lightly into the substrate. Moisten the soil gently without oversaturating it, and cover the container with a clear plastic lid or a plastic wrap to create a greenhouse-like environment. Place the container in a warm, brightly lit area, ensuring it receives indirect sunlight. Germination typically occurs within several weeks to a few months, and as the seedlings emerge, gradually expose them to more direct light and adjust watering to keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Once the seedlings have developed a few sets of leaves, they can be transplanted carefully into individual pots or an outdoor garden space with well-draining soil and adequate sunlight.

Great book! Little known knowledge shared by a true master!
Format: Paperback
The book arrived on time and in great shape. I had just attended an in person conference by the writer of this book, Donna Eden, and left the conference feeling so much more empowered that I had to know more. Through personal health challenges that left her in constant pain and bedridden in her twenties, and doctors unsure how to help her, Donna Eden who is now in her seventies or eighties, became her own guru!! Utilizing different natural ways of healing and learning all about energy medicine she developed her own personal brand of energy medicine. She is healthy and thriving over 5 decades later. Loaded with information that will change your life and your health in this book she shares with you the knowledge and the energy medicine exercises so you can help yourself. I now own all her books!

Good Book, Very Practical
Format: Paperback
This is a very interesting read and has some great exercises in it. I really enjoyed the book. Then I went on-line and watched a couple videos of Donna Eden speaking, and I have to say she seems like a New Age looney tune, all wide eyes, soft voice and gigantic fake smiles. Itʻs a shame, really, because energy medicine is an important field and having spaced out people representing it gives it a bad name and makes it seem less valid. However, like I said, it is a good book and worth reading. Few books about the energy body actually give exercises on how to work with it yourself, so this gets over the hurdle of other books like Barbara Brennanʻs Hands of Light where if you want to learn the techniques you have to pay a lot of money and go in person to a seminar.

Book has tons of practical information and interesting stories
Format: Paperback
I have been following Mantak Chia's inner smile book and trying to understand the 5 elements theory for a long time. Donna has not only explained how to use it in detail and but more about Chinese medicine in a way that is simple. There is a large bibliography she draws from as well as her own papers. She has combined kinesiology, her special talents, and her personal insights to create a powerful healing book. I am a layman who is trying to heal herself and I have stopped my prescribed Chinese herbs after a few days since implementing her program. It's a wholistic book written with as much information as she can impart with the feeling that she is trying to give you as much information as she can because she cares that you implement her exercises correctly. Mantak Chia said to just try it. Donna Eden tries to explain the functions but if you don't believe her reasoning or her whyfores, just try it. It's faster and easier and more gratifying than any other system I have used. She is top of the class in healing arts. I didn't find this book until a month ago, where I was incontinent, depressed, headachy, and constantly low on energy. Thanks to her book I will save a lot of money on diapers, herbs, pharmaceuticals. My burning bladder noninfections are a thing of the past. My 8 year search is over, no more empty answers.
