6-in-1 Multi-Mode High Chair That Grows With Your Child: The Maxi-Cosi Minla 6-in-1 High Chair is engineered for families who refuse to buy multiple chairs as their baby grows. With six distinct modes, nine height positions, five recline angles, and a removable tray, the Minla transforms from infant high chair to feeding booster to dining chair to supportive stool—adapting to your child's needs from birth through age 5 and up to 50 lbs. The stylish, modern design with premium EcoCare fabric blends seamlessly into any kitchen décor while the liquid-repellent fabric and machine-washable seat pad make cleanup effortless after messy meals and snack time.

How the Maxi-Cosi Minla 6-in-1 High Chair Works

The Minla's revolutionary design allows six different configurations: use it as an infant high chair with the cushioned seat inlay and recline positions for newborns, a feeding high chair for older babies, a feeding booster seat attached to your table chair, a dining booster for toddlers, a dining high chair for independent eating, or a supportive stool for bigger kids. Adjust the nine height positions and five recline angles to customize seating for your child's age and comfort level. The two-height adjustable footrest grows with your child's leg development. The removable, dishwasher-safe snack tray clicks onto four different positions, and the entire tray stores neatly on the back of the chair when not in use. The liquid-repellent fabric resists spills, and the zip-off seat pad machine-washes for quick cleanup. The slim, compact fold saves storage space when you need it.

When You Need the Maxi-Cosi Minla

Perfect for families with children from newborn through age 5+ and up to 50 lbs. Use the high chair mode with recline positions for newborns and young infants. As your baby grows and gains head control (around 6 months), transition to feeding modes with the seat inlay removed. Use the booster seat modes when your child is ready to join family meals at the table. The dining high chair mode works for independent toddlers, and the supportive stool mode is perfect for preschoolers and older children who need a boost at the table or counter. The Minla eliminates the need to purchase multiple chairs—one investment covers your entire feeding journey from birth through early school years.

Safety & Quality Standards

Engineered by Maxi-Cosi with over 25 years of expertise in child safety and feeding solutions. The Minla meets all federal safety standards for high chairs and booster seats. The secure harness system, sturdy frame with rear-locking wheels, and supportive seat inlay keep your child safe across all six modes. The liquid-repellent, EcoCare fabric prioritizes your baby's health with no added fire retardants. Always secure your child with the harness—never rely on the tray as the only restraint. Never use the booster seat mode in a car or on a tabletop, stool, swivel chair, or any unstable surface. Always lock wheels when your child is seated. Discontinue use once your child exceeds 50 lbs, shows signs of climbing out, or is too large to fit comfortably. Consult the user guide for proper setup for each of the six modes before use.

Full of useful information
Format: Paperback
As context, I've underwritten about 100 deals and attended some basic underwriting classes. Rob's book was very useful to me, both in helping me gain better skills in underwriting basics (stabilization time period and how unit renovations and rent bumps are modeled/phased-in as well as when to start applying rent escalator) as well as higher level topics, like partnership structures, sensitivity analyses, and judging the returns. In all of these higher level topics I learned several new topics (and calculations to add to my underwriting) and would guess that even experienced investors would pick up a few quality nuggets in these sections.

A Grounding, Practical, and Surprisingly Reassuring Guide for the Modern College Search
Format: Hardcover
Our family absolutely loves this book, having followed Jeff for many years, purchasing this was an easy choice. We’ve been deep in the college search process for a while now, and like many families, we spent a lot of time trying to balance ambition, fit, finances, outcomes, and the emotional side of it all. “Dream School” was one of the few resources that actually helped us calm down and make clearer decisions. What stood out most is how realistic and grounded the book is. You'll keep wanting to go to the end to look at the list of schools, but read the book. It doesn’t push prestige for the sake of prestige, and it doesn’t pretend that college admissions follow a straight line. Instead, it helps you think honestly about what a “right fit” really means...academically, socially, financially, and emotionally. For our family, this gave us a framework to rationalize all the moving pieces rather than chasing names or getting overwhelmed by noise from online forums and comparison culture. As we evaluated schools across different regions, majors, sizes, and price points, this book helped us step back and ask the right questions. It pushed us to think about values and outcomes instead of just rankings. It helped us understand why certain schools felt like better matches, even if they weren’t the ones everyone talks about on social media. Most importantly, it gave us permission to stop second-guessing ourselves and to trust the process we built together. Anyone going through the modern admissions process knows it can become emotionally exhausting, with hyper-competitive acceptance rates, endless online commentary, and constant chats with ChatGPT, which tells me what I want to hear rather than the truth. This book eased a lot of that stress. It helped our family see the big picture, prioritize what truly matters, and make decisions with confidence rather than fear of missing out. If you’re a parent or student trying to navigate the college search in a thoughtful, balanced way, I can’t recommend “Dream School” enough. It doesn’t just help you find the right college, it helps you remember why you’re doing this in the first place.

Parents of HS Students: READ THIS BOOK!
Format: Hardcover
A must-read book for parents navigating the "IVY OR BUST" aspirations of all top-performing high school students. Families simply can not afford the near-100K/year tuition for these institutions. It's unsustainable, and adding soul-crushing debt (before a career is even begun!) is not what parents want for our students. Enter Dream School: a guide to finding YOUR student's opportunity (and less expensive education) amid the noise and rah-rah of aggressive college recruiting. The book is a fast, comprehensive read which gives parents guidance and "permission" to consider schools with less name recognition/lower cost, but with high performance teaching and reasonable return on investment (ROI.) Remember the goal: a college degree for a happy, fulfilled student ready to enter the job market or grad school.

More than one way to a quality education
Format: Hardcover
As a high school counselor, I watch students and parents driving teens to the brink of exhaustion trying to get into the "right" school. I will not deny that there are some benefits to certain highly selective schools, but the issue is that very few do get in there, even if they are capable, and then what? Students think their future will not be as bright or that they will have fewer opportunities, and this book debunks that idea with research and sound principles. Finding a school that works with your strengths, your goals, and your budget is paramount today, and the very best way to create a future that brings fulfillment. Well-written and researched, this book should be reassurance for parents and students that there are many schools that can provide quality education and opportunities for our young people.

Permission to Help My Child Find Joy
Format: Hardcover
As a parent starting the college search process, I've really come to appreciate Jeff's insights in his previous books, podcast and newsletter. So pleased to finally have this book at my disposal, and less than a month in, it's already dog-eared and marked up! Like most parents out there, I'm fighting my own internal inertia to align my child's accomplishments against the "metrics" (real or imagined) of admission, and gravitating towards the big names. If you are in that stage, I'll say from personal experience that now is a great time to pick up this book. It's a quick read (for someone who's not a "reader"), and it plants the right questions and data in your head to open your perspective. Its funny, every good parent I know just wants their kid to be happy, to find their joy in life. When it comes down to it, our only equating of big name to their happiness comes a derivation that success brings happiness, and big school brings success. As Jeff suggests, this book doesn't say DON'T seek the big name... It just gives permission to look more broadly, that the same success, and perhaps even greater happiness, can be found elsewhere. Now we just need need to make sure our kids see that too, and they are empowered to seek their joy with our full support. There is still data in here that confirms name schools do convey certain advantages. Whether those advantages align with a child's success and happiness is the question we can chase in this process. I, for one, really appreciate Jeff's efforts to make the case for the broader search and taking the time to do it with excellent, fresh analysis of the data in hand. Maybe this book and others generate the momentum to continuing these unique data streams to break the US News/Naviance overload of the process. Good luck to everyone in a similar boat, and I hope you find this as useful a reference as I did.
