Care

Best grown in partial or full sun. Average water needs. Water regularly, do not over water. Hardy in zones 3-9.

Growth Habit

Growing 6-8" tall, Convallaria majalis is often grown as a ground cover. It forms a lush green carpet of attractive foliage. Hardy and carefree, this shade perennial thrives even in moist areas where grass won't grow. It's also a great container plant. Although the plant pips may not flower the first season, they will naturalize and multiply in future seasons. Blooms in May-June.

Toxicity

Lily of the Valley is very poisonous to pets! When dogs or cats ingest lily of the valley, severe clinical signs can be seen, including vomiting, diarrhea, a drop in heart rate, severe cardiac arrhythmias, and possibly seizures. Deer tend to pass it by.
