Tacca chantrieri is a beautiful and very exotic tropical plant oddly related to yams.A bizarre but quite beautiful plant with aspidistra-like foliage and large, white and dark purple flowers which resemble Batman's cape. It prefers shade and likes to stay moist but not soggy. The unusual white flowers look like bats with long cat whiskers rising on long stems from the broad shiny leaves. It tends to bloom from late summer through fall, often flowering just in time for Halloween.

A royal pain to install
The width of this item is such that it CANNOT be attached to the wall studs. That is unsafe for something that is intended to hold heavy items like liquor bottles. THEN the anchors that come with it are flimsy so we used a heavier different style anchor (threaded). That said, I like the way it looks, and the light effects.

New Bourbon Shelf
I just got done putting it together and hanging it on my wall. It took approximately 35 minutes to put together and another 15 minutes to hang up. I had to use my own larger wall anchors and screws. I tried the ones that came with it but they didn’t do the job. I am happy with it other than that. Good value and quality materials. As you can see from the picture it holds several bottles and room for more if I want. I think the LED lights look great as well.

I absolutely love this shelf. It's perfect over our coffee bar and is extremely sturdy. Assembling it was very easy, but hanging it was challenging. The design could definitely use a little improvement. My husband had to order an angles drill adapter to be able to get the screws in. He also bought different anchors than what came with it. But now that it's up it looks fantastic!

Kind of obsessed!
