Common Dandelion Seeds (Taraxacum officinale) offer a resilient, multipurpose herb that thrives in a wide range of soil conditions. Known for their bright yellow flowers and iconic puffball seed heads, dandelions establish easily and can naturalize over time. Gardeners who want to manage their spread may prefer growing them in a dedicated bed or contained space. This hardy perennial provides nutritious edible greens, pollinator-friendly blooms, and a long history of traditional herbal uses.

Hardy, Adaptable, and Surprisingly Useful:

  • Perennial herb with sunny yellow flowers and deeply toothed, nutrient-rich leaves
  • Grows in poor, compacted, or disturbed soils and helps improve soil structure
  • Highly adaptable plant that attracts bees and other pollinators
  • Can be grown in contained plots to limit natural self-seeding

Why Customers Love Common Dandelion:

  • Edible leaves, flowers, and roots offer culinary and traditional herbal value
  • Young leaves add a mildly bitter, fresh flavor to salads and sautés
  • Bright blossoms are edible and complement salads or herbal preparations
  • Roots can be dried and used for traditional teas and coffee-style beverages

How to Grow:
Sow dandelion seeds directly outdoors in early spring or late summer. Choose full sun to partial shade and any well-drained soil. Once established, plants require little care and will return year after year. To manage spread, harvest flowers before they go to seed or plant in a dedicated area. Leaves are best harvested young for fresh eating, while mature plants can be left to develop deeper roots for later use.

Harvest & Use:
Pick tender leaves for salads or cooking. Harvest flowers for fresh use in salads or to dry for herbal preparations. Dig roots in fall for drying and brewing into tea. Rinse parts thoroughly and process according to intended use.

Fun but not for rough play.
Color: Orange
The ball contented our “golden” Jaxson for about 15 minutes. He then thought it was a regular ball and it’s just a little delicate for a big dog. I just wrote it off as a loss. Great idea but should be more durable.

dog ball
Color: Blue
This ball is perfect for keeping my dog active and entertained. It's made of strong, durable material, ideal for games of fetch. It doesn't break easily and is light enough for him to carry in his mouth without any problem.

Great toy. Definitely worth it.
Pattern Name: Classic Squeaky Tug, Pattern Name: Classic Squeaky Tug
This is a great toy. I bought this for my dachshund, and it's still going strong after 2.5 years. The string part came off after a few months, but that's fine. This is always her go-to toy.

Perfect so far!
Pattern Name: Classic Squeaky Tug
My dog has a habit of tearing up toys in just a few minutes, so far, this toy has lasted a few days, the rope is already showing signs of wear. I wish there was a way to attach a new rope when this one goes... She is a mid-sized dog with a LOT of energy, and she's very destructive, digging, chewing on things she's not supposed to, etc. This helps with that, she can play with it for a long time, we don't have to always 'check' to see if she is tearing something up. She loves grabbing it by the rope and swinging it around the sides of her head, it doesn't hurt her, and she LOVES this toy. Out of ALL of the toys that we have bought her, and that she loved, THIS ONE has been top dog to her. We love watching her play with it, it also wears her out and she'll then take a nap, which is always good. Oh yeah, the size if PERFECT for a mid-sized to a large dog, I'm not sure about any smaller dogs. She can squeak the squeaker on it fine too, but not at first, she had to 'find out' how to do it on her own. As far as chewing it into little pieces like one person has said, I can't attest to that, and I hope that is not the case. I will return if she does end up chewing it into pieces, because she in known far and wide for that! :)
