Semponium ‘Destiny’; the winner of the prestigious RHS Plant of the Year 2022, has taken the horticultural world by storm and it’s easy to see why.
Semponium is a ground-breaking, world-first cross between Sempervivum and Aeonium. The stunning and unique rosettes and shrub habit of Aeonium are combined with the hardiness of Sempervivum to create vigorous hybrids in a range of completely new and unique natural colours. Endlessly versatile, these specimen succulents are sure to draw everyone’s attention whether they are displayed in a patio pot, used as gap-fillers in an exotic border or planted out in a rockery or gravel garden.
Semponium ‘Destiny’ boasts perfectly geometric rosettes of glossy, fleshy, spoon-shaped leaves in a striking deep purple, almost black shade that is remains just as intense throughout the year. The young plants will soon branch out to form superbly bushy multi-headed specimens.
Semponium ‘Destiny’ has been proved hardy down to at least -4C if kept dry.
A horticultural landmark, this outstanding brand-new cultivar is a must-have for any collection! Height and spread: 40cm.
Please Note: Succulents change colour throughout the year and the plants we deliver can look different from the pictures. All plants are shipped bare root (without soil).
