Agave pumila, commonly known as the Miniature Agave, is a compact, slow-growing succulent that’s perfect for collectors and small-space gardens. This dwarf agave forms a tight rosette of thick, blue-green to silvery leaves with prominent white markings and finely toothed edges. Despite its small size, it boasts a bold architectural look, making it a striking addition to rock gardens, containers, or succulent displays.

Main Characteristics:

  • Miniature agave with a tight, symmetrical rosette

  • Blue-green to silvery foliage with white impressions

  • Thick, leathery leaves with small marginal teeth

  • Extremely slow-growing and long-lived

  • Ideal for pots, troughs, and compact gardens

Care Tips:

  • Light: Prefers full sun to partial shade. Needs bright light to maintain form and colour.

  • Water: Drought-tolerant. Allow soil to dry out completely between waterings.

  • Soil: Requires very well-draining soil, such as cactus or sandy mix.

  • Temperature: Hardy to light frost but best protected from extreme cold.

  • Fertiliser: Minimal feeding; use a diluted succulent fertiliser in spring if needed.

  • Growth Habit: Very slow-growing; can remain in the same pot for years.

Agave pumila is an excellent choice for collectors looking for a sculptural, easy-care plant that stays small and stylish. Its tidy form and hardiness make it a standout in miniature landscapes or modern succulent arrangements.

The first photo serves a display purpose only. The succulent plant housed in the red pot comes in a 130mm diameter container. While the image provides a representative depiction of what you will receive, but may vary slightly because no two succulents are the same.

Great for semi-experienced looking to build on knowledge.
Format: Paperback
Fantastic instructional manual if you already have some basic knowledge of anchors, ropework and climbing technique. It is written as an instructional manual for climbers looking to turn into guides so if you're brand new this probably isn't the best option for you.

Clear, straight forward, and authoritative
Format: Paperback
Excellent, straightforward information about how to stay safe at the crag. Every guy who's put his hand on a rock has an opinion about how to set anchors, belay, etc -- this book gives you the answers on how to do things the right way. Spend the 10 or 15 bucks and read the book. It might save your life.

A great read.
Format: Paperback
Wow. Just finished reading this series. I agree that of the three books, this is the most accessible. Beautifully written and put me in mind of bardos in The Tibetan Book of the Dead. A great read. I’ll keep this book for a long time.
