- Plant sunflowers directly outdoors in the garden after all danger of last frost, seeds germinate in 7-days to 14-days
- Plant seeds 1/2 in. D in groups of 3 and space the groups 12 in. to 24 in. apart, depending on the variety
- Remove plants after they are killed by frost in fall to avoid disease issues the following year
- Sunflowers can be left in the garden through blooming or cut for flower arrangements shortly after bloom. to harvest the seeds, cut the heads off after the stalks are quite dry and flower heads beg in to turn yellow and droop, cut flower-heads with a foot of the stalk attached, hang heads in a warm, dry, well-ventilated place so the seeds may fully ripen and dry

The "Y" is a staple! The other is useless.

Leaving a 4-star review because she has chewed this "Y-shaped" Benebone almost down to the nubbins. At first she didn't want much to do with it, but something clicked and once she started chewing it, it's become a staple in her chewing repertoire. But the other shape... the double-pull with the lines on it... is apparently not chewable for her. She'll tote it around, but won't really sink her teeth into that one. She's still a puppy, so maybe she'll start on the double-pull shaped one later. But we'll probably hafta get a larger Y-shape in a month or two... that one's totally worth it!
