Aglaonema 'Bit Kisses'

Broad green leaves brushed with cream and soft pink give Aglaonema 'Bit Kisses' a warmer, more speckled look than many classic Chinese evergreens. Long petioles lift the blades above the crown, giving the plant the outline of a small leafy shrub.

The colour sits across the leaf surface in patches, blushes and short streaks. Young plants look dense and rounded; older plants open slightly as the stems lengthen and the leaves gain room around the crown.

Bit Kisses visible details

  • Upright, clumping Aglaonema with long petioles and broad leaves
  • Green, cream and pink patterning with natural leaf-to-leaf variation
  • Oval foliage with a smooth surface and gently pointed tip
  • Medium-sized clump with long petioles that lift the broad leaves above the pot
  • Warm position with filtered light so new leaves do not stay small or slow to emerge

Broad leaves and pink markings

Aglaonema 'Bit Kisses' produces smooth leaves that rise from the central crown and arch outward as they mature. Cream-green sections may dominate some leaves, while pink appears as blushes, small marks or stronger streaks near the centre.

Aglaonema species are tropical forest aroids associated with warm, shaded and humid habitats. In a pot, this means warm roots, filtered light, a breathable mix and watering that lets air return to the root zone between drinks.

The broad leaves show scorch marks, pest damage and salt-burned edges quickly. Pale sections show sun or salt stress first, and the crown gives early pest clues when new leaves unfold distorted or marked.

Care for Aglaonema 'Bit Kisses'

  • Light: Bright indirect light keeps new leaves closer in size and reduces stretched, weak petioles. Medium light is usually fine, but very dim positions slow new leaves.
  • Watering: Let the upper layer of substrate dry before watering again. The fleshy stems and roots need air around them between waterings.
  • Substrate: Use a chunky, moisture-retentive houseplant mix with fine bark, coco coir or peat-free fibre, plus perlite or pumice.
  • Drainage: Grow in a nursery pot or planter insert with drainage holes. Let excess water run through before returning the plant to its cover pot.
  • Temperature: Keep around 18–26 °C. Temperatures below about 15–16 °C can stress the foliage and roots, especially with wet substrate.
  • Humidity: Moderate humidity reduces stuck, crinkled or marked new leaves. In very dry rooms, use a humidifier nearby or group it with other tropical foliage plants.
  • Feeding: Feed at low strength while the plant is actively producing new leaves. Reduce feeding when fewer new leaves appear, so fertiliser salts do not collect in the mix.
  • Repotting: Shift to a slightly wider pot when roots circle the container or the plant dries very quickly.
  • Leaf care: Clean dust with a soft damp cloth. Dust-free leaves show the pink and cream pattern better and make pests easier to spot.
  • Pruning: Cut tired leaves close to the base. Older bare stems can be propagated as node cuttings.
  • Propagation: Divide established clumps or root stem sections in warm conditions. Each division needs roots and a firm growing point.
  • Mineral substrates: This cultivar can grow in semi-hydro or mineral mixes if the roots are firm and active; weak or damaged roots can rot during the change.

Bit Kisses leaf and crown signals

  • Brown edges on pale sections: Check direct sun, dry air, fertiliser residue and irregular watering. Pale tissue marks first.
  • Drooping leaves with wet soil: Inspect the roots and stretch the watering interval. Droop with wet soil often means poor oxygen around the roots.
  • Several yellow leaves at once: Look for cold exposure, a waterlogged pot or a sudden location change. Let the mix drain, check root firmness and wait before cutting leaves that are still green and firm.
  • Small distorted new leaves: Search the crown and leaf bases for pests. Thrips and mites can damage leaves while they are still folded.
  • Weak, stretched growth: Move the plant to brighter filtered light and rotate the pot so new petioles do not lean strongly toward one side.

Room around the crown

Give Aglaonema 'Bit Kisses' space for the long petioles to spread naturally. Crowded leaves can bend or rub against neighbouring plants.

Safety note for Bit Kisses

Aglaonema 'Bit Kisses' is toxic if ingested because the leaves and stems contain insoluble calcium oxalate crystals. Plant tissue eaten or nibbled can irritate the mouth and throat. Keep it away from pets and children, and use gloves for cutting or division if aroid sap irritates your skin.

Ummmm🙄 not indestructible!
Color: Yellow Green, Size: 6 Inch, Color: Yellow Green, Size: 6 Inch
I have a Aussie doodle ( 1 1/2 yr old) so I decided to get her this one for Christmas and she loved it (she plays soccer with my grandkids-so I thought it would be a perfect gift and the colors are so cool green and yellow) however ..if your dog is like mine, she busted it within two days first tried chewing off the handles so I decided to cut the rest of them off-then proceeded to tear one of the pentagons entirely off and finally completely busted it… which made her very happy, but I was very sad!! If your dog is not a chewer and does not stop until she tears it apart, especially if it has some kind of noise maker which this does not-it’s a great ball and really well made! She loved it from the minute she got it played with it-wouldn’t let us take it away from her! It is made and looks like a real soccer ball. So I will have to keep searching for an indestructible soccer ball🙄😁

My dog loves this.
Color: Black Green, Size: 6 Inch, Color: Black Green, Size: 6 Inch
I have a large Cane Corso who could obviously shred this but, she loves it. This ball is holding up really well. We use it for outside play and she loves batting it around and swinging it from the loops.

Great play and chew toy!
Pattern Name: Star
The dogs love these! They're sturdy and give them plenty of chew time. The size is great and they are very playable. The dogs have a lot of fun and the weight is just enough for our little dogs.

Great Dane Tested and Approved 5 Star
Pattern Name: Checkered, Pattern Name: Checkered
A picture is worth a thousand words applies to this product, as you will see in the attached photos these stand up to the abuse of a Great Dane. He has dragged me around the yard for hours already with this in his mouth and the stretchy handle keeps it shape. This ball is a little firmer than others of these I have had in the past, which helps exercise his giant jaw. I could get a few weeks out of the other brands I have bought. This brand is still like new well past the time others have failed. I will be ordering more as my French Mastiff is interested in one of his own (the boys do not like to share toys - most dog guardians understand).
