Grape Hyacinth (Muscari) are some of the very first bloomers in my spring garden. They have beautiful deep purple flowers and happily start to grow very early in the spring.

- Grape hyacinths get their name from the tightly bundled florets that look like grapes at the tip of each flower.

- There are many different types of hyacinths, but grape hyacinths aren’t related to them.

- They have the grape clusters and they have a sweet-smelling aroma that’s especially prominent at night and during the early morning.

- Each plant grows up to 12” and there are 1-3 stalks per plant. They sprout in early spring and usually result in colors that are blue and white.

***These can be grown in hardiness zones 3-9 and are super easy to grow.***

They’re a good plant for beginners that want to propagate from bulb or seed. If you don’t do anything but the bare minimum, they’ll likely reproduce so quickly you’ll need to prune them to keep them tidy.

These pretty grape-like plants are a stunning addition to any garden with their blue clusters and fragrance.

***These seeds can be planted in the fall for spring growth. Just choose the location and plant your seeds 2" deep and 1" apart. Cover with soil and you should see them sprouting in the early spring. If you choose to start them indoors the seeds need to go through a period of cold (called stratification). To do this, place seeds in the fridge for 3 months. After this period is over, you can remove the seeds from the fridge and plant as normal. This tricks the seeds into thinking they have had a winter.

Each package has approximately 40 seeds.

democracy in action or am I allowed to vote
Format: Paperback
This is a superb document on the history of voting rights in America from its founding to 2000. Well worth reading about the struggles of Americans to get the vote. The discussion of suffrage for all Americans. How those that had the vote trying to prevent other people from getting the vote. We struggle with this today, given that President Drumpf is more than willing to disregard the majority of American voters. Our democracy beware and here is the history.

Incredibly well researched
Format: Paperback
Purchased in light of the current election fraud/security debates. I learned nothing so far is new. Data intensive. Can be dry at times, though many of the quotes from historical figures are revealing as to prevailing attitudes.

Excellent and thorough
This must be the definitive history of voting in America. I hold back from giving it five stars because it was a little more than what I was looking for, but this is as thorough as I have ever come across. Also, I love charts and graphs, and he has a great array of tables at the end. Interesting tidbit was the role war played throughout American history in expanding the right to vote. Also, though we all know how the right to vote gradually expanded, but what many of us didn't realize was how the right to vote actually shrunk at various points in American history. That is, some people who had the right to vote had it taken away at various moments in American history. When all is said and done, this is a great book.

read!
Format: Kindle
I had to read this book for a political theory class, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Keysarr did a great job of researching and writing it. It was not as dry as some of the other, similar books I've read. I would definitely recommend this one, even if it's not for a class.
