Deciding to run away from home rather than scare people, Sigmund meets up with brothers Johnny (Johnny Whitaker, “Family Affair”) and Scott (Scott Kolden) and the three become best friends. Now living in Johnny and Scott's clubhouse, the three try to keep Sigmund from being kidnapped by his family while keeping him a secret from everyone else, especially their housekeeper Zelda (Mary Wikes). Comedian Rip Taylor joined the series in the 2^nd season as genie Sheldon.

Notable guest stars included Jack Wild, H.R. Pufnstuf, Margaret Hamilton, Pamelyn Ferdin, Steve Franken and Fran Ryan.
