After the announcement of the discovery of what might be the oldest instrument in the world, I felt quite inspired to look into it and try to bring a semblance of it to my customers.

The original flute was found in a cave in Germany and said to be around 35,000 years old, when Europe was first being populated during the Ice Age. Mammoth relics were found in the same layers the flute was found.

The 13 inch Ice Age Flute is finished naturally, bound with an earth-toned binding and comes with a free written flute lesson and a free flute bag to keep it safe.

To Play: Lift the V shaped notch against a soft grin. Press upwards and tilt while gently spitting out watermelon seeds. Lift and tilt. Keep the lifting pressure, but once you have sound you can stop tilting.

Construction of the flute: I placed the original top hole in back to better fit the hand. The broken hole at the bottom of the original flute is again complete and I cut the length of the flute in tune with the scale. The original flute was extremely thin and short giving it a very high pitch. My flute is wider and longer, giving it a more mellow voice which is likely the direction this flute would have evolved into as flutes moved into being made in Europe out of wood.

Research: Researchers working at two Stone Age German sites have unearthed a nearly complete flute made from a vulture's forearm as well as sections of three mammoth-ivory flutes. These 35,000- to 40,000-year-old finds are the oldest known musical instruments in the world, says archaeologist and project director Nicholas Conard of the University of Tuebingen in Germany. The bone flute, which excavators found in 12 pieces, and the ivory flutes were discovered in the summer of 2008 at Hohle Fels cave, when people first migrated to Europe. The preserved portion of the bone flute is about 8.5 inches long and one-third of an inch wide. Finely incised lines near four finger holes probably indicated where to carve these openings using stone tools. Musicians presumably blew into an end of the bone flute that contains two V-shaped notches. The researchers plan to make a replica of the ancient flute to investigate how it was played and what type of sounds it made.

Update: I was thrilled to get news that my "Ice Age Flute" was taken to the Hohle Fels cave and was played there. To think it's music bounced off those cave walls of our musical past, truly delighted me.

Fantastic and elegant looking nightstand or bathroom tray
Color: White 1 Pack, Size: 8" x 8" x 1.8"
I absolutely love this nightstand tray! The elegant gold trim gives it a luxurious look that instantly elevates my nightstand decor. It works perfectly as a perfume or cologne organizer and keeps all my bottles beautifully displayed. I’ve also used one as a dresser organizer countertop to hold jewelry and skincare, and another as a stylish key tray or key holder bowl by the front door. The quality is excellent and the design is both functional and beautiful. I love it so much, I’ll definitely be buying a few more to stack it up in a couple of my rooms. Highly recommend!

I'm impressed! Simple but quite effective, affordable, properly designed
Color: Walnut Wood
I normally don't review items unless I am very impressed or feel I need to review to warn others of a particularly poor product. In this case I am highly impressed! Great price (compare to others made from plastic), well designed and quality construction. Simple but quite effective. Quality wood support, smooth sanded and beautifully finished.. The wood support is designed and created to properly support headphones without damage to the headband as a simple hook or peg design might I have a home recording studio and don't want some cheap shlopck headphone holder to damage my $300 headphones in any way. This support is very reasonably priced, and offers 2 ways to mount. Included double sided self adhesive or using a screw through the hole at the top of the metal bracket. Screw mounting hardware is included. The metal bar used is incredibly robust but is well suited aesthetically to complement the wood rest. I would recommend to my friends or anyone who wants a quality, I expensive, and affection headphones holder. Don't hesitate to purchase, you won't be sorry!

Awesome Quality great for my headphones
Color: Walnut Wood
I recently purchased the Wood Headphone & Headset Wall Mount in Black, and it has truly transformed my workspace! The space-saving design is a game-changer, instantly decluttering my desk and giving it a sleek, organized look. The curved bearing area is a thoughtful touch, ensuring that my headphone head beam remains in perfect condition without any risk of deformation or dents. The combination of aluminum alloy and wood not only gives it a modern aesthetic but also makes it incredibly sturdy and strong. I was initially skeptical about using double-sided tape, but the 3M tape provided proved to be exceptionally reliable. The mount is securely adhered to my wall, and I can trust that it will never break or fall. What I love most is its versatility – it accommodates all types of headphones, even the heaviest ones, and I've even used it to hang my handbags and backpacks. It's truly a versatile and practical solution for anyone looking to optimize their workspace. I highly recommend the Wood Headphone & Headset Wall Mount for its durability, functionality, and the aesthetic upgrade it brings to any room!
