About Me
Unleash a burst of vibrant color with the Chlorophytum orchidastrum 'Green Orange,' also known as the Fire Flash Spider Plant! This unique twist on the classic spider plant boasts stunning, cascading foliage that combines the best of both worlds. The vibrant green leaves are complemented by a central cluster of fiery orange stems, creating a truly eye-catching display.
Pot Size: 12cm
Plant Height: 30cm
A distant cousin to the common spider plant, the 'Green Orange' offers a touch of the exotic without sacrificing the ease of care. Its striking color combination adds a touch of drama and personality to any room, while its trailing foliage creates a lush, cascading effect. Plus, like all spider plants, it produces adorable "spiderettes" (baby spider plants) with the same vibrant orange stems!
Care Instructions
The Chlorophytum orchidastrum 'Green Orange' thrives with a little TLC:
- Light: Bright, indirect sunlight is ideal. Avoid harsh, direct sun which can scorch the leaves.
- Water: Keep the soil consistently moist, but not soggy. Allow the top inch of soil to dry slightly between waterings. In winter, you can reduce watering frequency.
- Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity. Regular misting, a pebble tray filled with water, or a humidifier can help create a happy environment. Avoid letting the plant sit in water.
- Toxicity: Non-toxic to pets and humans, making it a great choice for homes with curious creatures and little ones.
Bellr Bonus Tip!
Propagating spider plants is a breeze! Simply snip off a spiderette with roots and pot it in its own container. Soon, you'll have a whole new generation of fiery orange spiderettes to add a touch of the exotic to your home
