| Echeveria 'Afterglow' - This very beautiful and vigorous succulent has wide powdery pinkish-lavender leaves that have a brighter pink edging and are aptly described as an "out-of-this-world" color. It grows on a short stout stem that holds 12-16 inch wide rosettes. The deep orange-red flowers can emerge from below lower leaves or sometimes as a terminal inflorescence. It is best to remove flower stalks as it detracts from the foliage and a terminal flower stalk aborts further growth. Plant in full sun for best color but it will also grow well in shade. In a well-drained soil one can water it occasionally and it will also tolerate winter rainfall. It is hardy to at least mid 20s. There has been some disagreement on the origins of this plant. Though sometimes incorrectly credited to Echeveria hybridizer Dick Wright, this plant was actually created by Don Worth, an avid succulent grower and professional photographer in the San Francisco Bay area. Don hybridized Echeveria cante (seed parent) with Echeveria shaviana (pollen parent) to create both Echeveria 'Afterglow' and its sister seedling 'Morning Light'. At that time, E. cante had not yet been named as a separate species and was still thought of as a form of E. subrigida so the parentage was originally given as E. subrigida x shaviana. Our thanks to Brian Kemble, Curator of The Ruth Bancroft Garden, for tracing down this information on Echeveria 'Afterglow'. The genus Echeveria was named to honor Mexican botanical artist Atanasio Echeverría y Godoy in 1828 by the French botanist Augustin Pyramus de Candolle (DeCandolle) who was very impressed with Echeverría's drawings. Echeverría had accompanied the the Sessé and Mociño expedition (led by Martin de Sessé y Lacasta and Mariano Mociño Suárez de Figueroa) while exploring Mexico and northern Central America and had produced thousands of botanical illustrations. The genus Echeveria is a member of the large Crassula family (Crassulaceae), which has about 1,400 species in 33 genera with worldwide distribution. Echeveria, with approximately 180 species, are native to mid to higher elevations in the Americas with the main distribution in Mexico and central America but with one species found from as far north as southern Texas and several species occurring as far south as Bolivia, Peru and possibly Argentina. The book "The genus Echeveria" by John Pilbeam (published by the British Cactus and Succulent Society, 2008) is an excellent source of information on the species and "Echeveria Cultivars" by Lorraine (AKA Rudolf) Schulz and Attila Kapitany (Schulz Publishing, 2005) has beautiful photos and great information on the cultivars and hybrids. It has been argued by some that the correct pronunciation for the genus is ek-e-ve'-ri-a, though ech-e-ver'-i-a seems in more prevalent use in the US. Pretty good blanket. Slightly larger than normal throw.
I purchased this leopard print throw blanket because you can get it in twin size and twin size is a lot more usable in not only a bed but also on a couch. Like if you have two people sitting next to each other, it's a lot easier to use the twin size than a throw size, which I feel is a little bit cramped.
In addition to that, I saw in the picture that this looked almost like fur. Now when you look at it in person, you can clearly tell it's not for it's got almost like a a spotted pattern even with the spots. And while I don't know if leopards actually look like that, certainly at a distance, it feels a lot more accurate than things that are only vaguely leopard printed like the the common pink ones, as you can see here in the other variety. But certainly the Brown leopard one looks good.
Plus, it is comfortable and pretty soft. It's softer on one side than another side, but only slightly and while it's rolled over and stitched at the edges, it is a single layer throughout. So it's not going to give you a ton of warmth. But I will give you some warmth, you know just enough to be nice and that means you can use it year round.
So overall at this price for a twin size leopard print throw. I think this is a good deal. Well I think it could be a better deal. I've certainly seen worse so I think I could recommend this product

Pink cheetah blanket
Color: Pink Leopard, Size: Throw(50" x 60")
I recently got this pink cheetah print throw blanket, and honestly, it’s such a fun and cozy addition to my space. The first thing that stood out to me was the design—the pink leopard print is super cute and adds a pop of personality to my couch without being too overwhelming.

Good quality

My great granddaughter asked for this throw so I purchased it for her. The throw is so soft and looks exactly like the picture. The quality is good and the price was right. It’s light weight so she can roll it up and throw in her backpack to take to friends houses. I received the throw on time and I would recommend this product and seller.

It sheds

When I bought the blanket with the assumption that it would be pink leopard on both sides. Unfortunately, when I retrieved, my package it was white on the inside and pink leopard on the outside. It was nice until it started to shed so I gave it to my sister. I did not like the size I should've gotten something way bigger. It will keep you warm though. Especially during your period. It wasn't all the way soft because one side was odd the other is what you actually offer so that part I didn't like very much. Overall it does get the warming job done.
