Its tolerance of full sun and a poor, free draining soil make it a striking addition to any rock or gravel garden perhaps planted in graceful but meandering drifts, its nectar-rich blooms luring the bees and butterflies in.
Easy to grow and said to be deer, rabbit and drought resistant, its flowers also cut and dry well for arrangements.
