Native to Southeast Asia (China, Korea, Japan, Bhutan and Myanmar). In their natural habitat, they grow on both mountain slopes and in forests. The plant was first introduced to England at the end of the eighteenth century, and to the United States in the mid nineteenth century. Today, the plant is widely distributed across Europe and North America. Since ancient times, the tree has been used as a strong cultural motif during the Chinese New Year celebrations. They symbolize happiness, good health and prosperity. Frequently used element in ikebana, the Japanese traditional art of flower arrangements. In fact, Chaenomeles has been cultivated as a bonsai tree in China, Japan and Korea for thousands of years.

If you’re looking for an ornamental flowering bonsai that produces fragrant fruit (when matures) and looks good throughout the year, consider a quince. Quince is a very fragrant yellow fruit used to make jams and jellies. This plant is very adaptable, and grows well in a range of conditions, from the cooler parts of subtropical. Since quince trees have some drought tolerance, they are suitable for beginners, although undemanding they will require some pruning to keep it in an attractive form. We grow this lovely plant for its beautiful flowers which look very pretty in early Spring on their aesthetically pruned branches.

A briliant book
Format: Paperback
This book is very neat in its specifics about the effects of absence when a mother is not in a child's life and the roles and effects of mother figures as well. Myself dealing with abandonment issues from my mom and my mother figure in my life, this book really assists in identifying the issues caused from the absent parent. Though the book doesn't offer any real advice as to deal with these problems that arise, it identify's the issues and allows you to further your research in progression. The writing style used can get rather complex though, be prepared for that. I agree with everything provided in this book and recommend it to anyone who's interested in either the psychological effects of absence of a parent, or seek to identify it themselves.

Bowlby Books
Format: Paperback
As an MFT graduate student, first hand accounts are important. For the price, add depth to your research writing as the theory intended. Bowlby makes separation axiety, child anger and anger clear. This is a good read even for those who are not in a clinical field. Worth a lot more too me than I paid.

Another piece to the triology offered by Bowlby
Format: Paperback
As with Bowlbys' other works, this classic furthers the hypothesis of negative emotional influence on the continued development of humans as we integrate with our social environments. I liked it...in fact, liked all of Bowlbys' writings.

Hurrah for Jon Bowlby
Format: Paperback
Early work by someone who offered a contrast to Freud and who led the way to understanding the needs of young children. A cornerstone of most of the work of therapists today.
