Curated Indoor Plants — Designed to Pair Beautifully with H Potter

Maidenhair Fern curated by H Potter—airy fan-shaped leaflets on dark stems. Loves humidity and indirect light. Available in 4" and 6" nursery pots.

The Maidenhair Fern (Adiantum) is delicate in the best way—soft, fan-shaped leaflets float on slender black stems, creating a light, elegant silhouette. It’s a classic choice for bathrooms, kitchens, and any space that naturally holds a little humidity. While it can be a bit particular about moisture, a consistent routine is rewarded with lush, vibrant growth.

What to expect: Ferns may shed a few fronds after shipping as they adjust. Stable placement, steady moisture, and humidity help it bounce back.
Why trust H Potter: For nearly 30 years, we’ve built outdoor and indoor pieces meant to live in real conditions. As we expand into plants, we’re applying the same standard—practical care guidance, protective packing, and styling that feels finished.

Care Guide

Light Bright, indirect light

Place near a bright window with filtered light. Avoid harsh direct sun, which can dry and scorch delicate fronds.

Water Keep evenly moist

Maidenhair Fern prefers steady moisture. Water when the surface begins to feel slightly dry—before the pot dries out completely. Always allow excess water to drain.

How to know it’s time: The very top feels just barely dry, but the soil underneath is still lightly moist.

Humidity Higher humidity helps it thrive

Humidity is the secret to happy Maidenhair fronds. Bathrooms and kitchens are often ideal. In drier rooms, try a pebble tray or a small humidifier nearby.

Temperature Stable is best

Keep away from cold drafts and heat vents. A steady indoor environment helps prevent frond drop and crisping.

Beginner success rule: For Maidenhair, consistency wins—steady moisture + humidity + gentle light.

Heavy Smallish Handle Wonderful Dutch Oven
Color: Red, Size: 5Qt
As many have noted this lidded Dutch Oven is extremely heavy. But it cooks and cleans up beautifully, is well made and attractive. In my opinion the handles are relatively small for such a heavy pot, my one complaint. The mitts are cute but more decorative than truly protective as the handles are so small. Just be very careful picking up and moving the pot especially from the oven. I chose the red color which looked vibrantly cheerful in my white kitchen. The 5 qt capacity works for modest to regular-sized portions without second helpings for 4-6 people. However, if cooking for more people, want larger portions, 2nd helpings or leftovers, go with a larger pot. Overall, given its great construction, price, cooking performance, and attractiveness, this is a no-brainer purchase if you won’t mind relatively small handles and a heavy pot.

Heavy-Duty Dutch Oven That Easily Feeds a Big Family
Size: 6.0 Qt, Color: Clay, Size: 6.0 Qt, Color: Clay
I am extremely impressed with this Amazon Basics enameled cast iron Dutch oven. The first thing I noticed when I took it out of the box was how substantial and heavy it feels, which immediately gave me confidence in the quality. The clay color is beautiful and looks even better in person, and the enamel finish is smooth and well done. I have a large family, so I needed something with plenty of capacity, and this 6-quart size has been perfect for big batches of soup, chili, pot roast, and homemade pasta sauce. It heats evenly, retains heat exceptionally well, and keeps food warm for a long time after cooking. The lid fits securely and helps lock in moisture, which made a recent pot roast come out incredibly tender after several hours of slow cooking. The wide handles make it easy to move from the stovetop to the oven, and despite the weight, it feels very sturdy and well balanced. Packaging was excellent and everything arrived in great condition. Considering the quality, performance, and attractive design, this Dutch oven offers outstanding value for the price. If you're looking for a durable cast iron pot that can handle family-sized meals and perform like much more expensive brands, this one is an easy recommendation.

Quality Baking, Not Just For Meat Anymore
Size: 6.0 Qt, Color: Clay, Size: 6.0 Qt, Color: Clay
Since my wife is an avid sourdough baker, requesting this Dutch oven was an easy decision. From the moment I unboxed it, the first thing I noticed was the substantial weight—a testament to its high-quality cast iron core. Beyond its heft, the Dutch oven features a beautifully smooth finish on the interior and exterior that makes it look as good as it performs. My wife has already put it to the test with two loaves of sourdough. While the first loaf browned a bit too much on the bottom, the second attempt turned out absolutely perfect, proving that it just takes a little practice to dial in the heat distribution. I am confident we won’t limit this piece to just bread baking; I can already imagine a delicious chicken or pot roast in its future. If you are looking for a top-tier cooking utensil, you really can’t do much better than this. It is exceptionally well-made and expertly finished. Whether you are a dedicated baker or looking to cook up a perfectly tender roast, you will be doing yourself a favor by adding this Dutch oven to your kitchen collection.

You could pay a lot more, but why would you?
Size: 6.0 Qt, Color: Linen Gray
Technically, this is a French oven, which is enameled. A Dutch oven is bare cast iron. I like these mainly for baking bread. The French oven traps the moisture coming out of the bread, and converts it to steam, which is essential for a good crust. (Search 'Jenny Can Cook no knead bread' for a recipe that is so simple and effective and forgiving that you will find it hard to believe it works, even after you've done it dozens of times.) Long ago, I got a Le Creuset just like this, for about 10 times the price. I worked like crazy to keep it looking like new, but before too long, it looked like something from Goodwill. As a test, I just made two loaves of bread, one in the Le Creuset, one in this, and I could not tell the difference. It may be that down the line, the Amazon Basics will crack, or sustain some damage to the enamel, or something like that. But I could replace it 9 times before spending as much as I spent on the Le Creuset! As far as I can tell, you're getting the same quality, without paying for the name. Why wouldn't you do that?
