Successful cultivation of the majestic Anthurium regale involves understanding its specific needs. Here are some key cultural tips to ensure healthy growth and impressive foliage:
- Light: Needs bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight that can burn the leaves. A window with a sheer curtain works perfectly.
- Temperature: Keep between 70-85°F (21-29°C) during the day and no lower than 65°F (18°C) at night. Avoid cold drafts.
- Humidity: Requires high humidity (60-80%). Use a humidifier, water tray, or group plants together. You can also mist the leaves occasionally.
- Watering: Keep soil moist but not waterlogged. Water when the surface feels slightly dry. Use lukewarm water and ensure the pot has drainage holes.
- Soil: Use a well-draining mix with perlite, orchid bark, and peat moss or coco coir. Repot every 1-2 years.
By following these guidelines, you can create the ideal environment for your Anthurium regale to flourish and showcase its impressive foliage.
