This blend features Lilium x oriental varieties, hardy perennials well-suited for Zones 3-8. These lilies are easy to grow, overwinter beautifully in the ground, and return year after year with proper care. Their upright growth habit makes them ideal for planting in groups or masses in beds, borders, and containers. In cutting gardens, their bold blooms add elegance to any arrangement. When cutting flowers, be sure to leave at least 2/3 of the stem to ensure the bulb regenerates for the next growing season.
Fragrant Blend lilies flourish in sunny to partially shaded areas (6-8 hours of sunlight). Apply mulch to keep their roots cool, and pair them with low-growing plants for added protection. These lilies prefer rich, well-draining soil with consistent moisture and adapt well to average conditions. Avoid letting the soil dry out or become waterlogged to prevent bulb rot. Deadhead faded blooms immediately, but only remove foliage after it turns yellow. Deer and critters typically avoid these low-maintenance lilies, making them a reliable garden favorite.
Plant bulbs in early spring, spacing them 6-8 inches apart and burying them 6-8 inches deep. With minimal care, enjoy a garden filled with aromatic, colorful blooms every summer.
