Care Info

SUN
Golden Pothos can adapt to low lighting but will maintain their variegated leaves in bright and indirect light.
WATER
Water well when the top 2-3 inches of soil are dry. They appreciate consistent waterings, with enough time for soil to slightly dry out in between.
AIR
Mimic a tropical environment with temperatures between 65º-85º and extra humidity. Keep them away from cold drafts and air vents. You can provide a regular boost of humidity by:
  • Adding a humidifier nearby
  • Creating a pebble tray that lives underneath the pot
  • Misting the leaves 2-4x per week with non-tap, lukewarm water
  • Placement in a bathroom or kitchen if lighting is suitable
PET FRIENDLY
Keep out of reach from curious pets. These are toxic when ingested.
AESTHETIC
Pothos grow many long vines full of stems with deep green, heart-shaped leaves. Under bright and indirect light, Golden Pothos leaves are encouraged to develop variegations with unqiue, neon variegations.
Their versatility to trail, hang, and climb make them a beautiful accent for any room.
HEALTH BENEFITS
This kind of active plant care can help you access the wellbeing benefits associated with plants, such as lower stress levels, improved mood, and superior mental clarity.
Golden Pothos also remove common household toxins from the air, and increase oxygen for better breathing.
SPIRITUAL INTERPRETATIONS
The Pothos is believed to represent perseverance, abundant energy, and has significance in some cultures as a money plant. They are fast-growing and resilient despite care mistakes and a range of indoor conditions.

OUR RECS
We recommend a 7-inch ceramic planter with a drainage hole to provide ideal moisture balance for your Golden Pothos. When repotting, keep your Pothos in a planter of the same size or no more than 2 inches larger.
Ideal soil is a well-draining mix with aerating and moisture-retaining amendments such as coco coir.

Nature is unique - each plant may vary slightly from the plant shown here. Ceramic planters are sold separately.

Great read for a WWII enthusiast
Format: Paperback
Purchased for my nephew who is 11 and a WWII aficionado, "Bombing Nazi Germany" and "Normandy" did not disappoint. While I got him the graphic novels because he is a visual kid, he really enjoyed the text. Which is good because there is a lot of text. I am an avid reader of graphic novels and found these books to be more text-driven than much of what I've read. That said, the prose is solid, unadorned, and moves the narrative smoothly from pane to pane. I recommend this for anyone fascinated by war histories who also values detailed illustrations of the same.

I wish my Dad had lived long enough to have this given to him!
Format: Paperback
As I said for Mr. Vansant's Gettysburg graphic novel, this is perhaps the best visual description of all of the planning, logistics, and follow-up battles that gave the Allies their second front, and began the march to Berlin, and the eventual downfall of Hitler's Thousand Year Plan. I have studied War History for as long as I can remember - focusing mostly of the American Civil War, World War 2, and Vietnam; three of the United States' greatest turning points in warfare - but my Dad and I shared a huge interest in WW2, watching as many documentaries on it as we could. What most people do not know about the importance of the war is that it is one of the few times that most of the world was not only involved either directly or indirectly, but also it is one that everyone - and I mean everyone, from the footsoldiers, leaders, and civilians - knew exactly why and what they were fighting for. While it seems odd to refer to events so brutal as noble, that is the best way to describe World War 2, since most of the world was involved in it, and why.

10-year-old grandson loves this book
Format: Paperback
I bought this for my grandson who is very interested in World War II. He has just turned 10. He loves the book. It seems to be the perfect balance between text and pictures. He will learn about the experiences of his great grandparents while learning to read at the same time.

A+
Thought it did a really good job framing the big picture, as well as showing some of the nitty gritty details of the fighting that took place. Even though I thought I already knew a lot about D-Day, I still learned some things along the way. Note: although I do most of my reading on my Kindle Paperwhite, I read this on my iPad Kindle app instead. I don't expect the graphics to come off too well on a non-tablet Kindle so did not even download it there.

Wonderful middle grade book
Format: Hardcover
This book is part historical fiction and part sci-fi. I bought because we like getting the Newberry award winner every year. We loved this story. It was fun read a book placed when I was kid and see/show my kids how much the world has changed, but it also had a fun time travel element. This coming of age follows a kid and his worries about Y2k. He deals with the death of a friend and worries about everything. We loved this story and it's special sections back i to the future making it easy to believe that time travel is real.
