Sowing Instructions

DIRECT SOW WHEN SOIL TEMPS ARE ABOVE 65°F AFTER DANGER OF LAST FROST

Starting Indoors

3-4 WEEKS BEFORE LAST FROST IN BIO-DEGRADABLE POTS

Growing Tips

Growers with a shorter season may want to start their pumpkins indoors about 4 weeks before last frost. Do this in a peat pot, as pumpkin plants to no transplant well.

Make sure to harden your seedlings off by exposing them to outside temperatures and weather for several hours per day when the average daily temperature reaches 60°F.

Plant in rows that are 10-12’ apart, or hill plant with two plants each about 8-10’ apart.

Do not plant with potatoes.

Culinary Uses

There are many uses for this type of pumpkin. The pie pumpkin is what gives autumn its flavor. From roasted pumpkin, to pumpkin puree for use in breads, pies, cakes, pancakes, and pretty much any other dish that would benefit from a pumpkin flavor.

Harvesting Crops

When the stem becomes dry on the pumpkin vine, it’s about time to harvest your pumpkins. Check the toughness of the pumpkins skin. If you can still puncture it with your fingernail, leave it to toughen for a little bit longer.

Cut the pumpkins off the vine with about 2-3” of stem length remaining on the top of the pumpkin. Allow the stem to harden and shrivel by sun curing your harvest. Pumpkins will keep well in the garden or if kept in a 45-50°F location and can last up to 5 months.

Harvesting Seed

After leaving the pumpkin to cure, your seeds will be ready for harvest. If you have ever carved pumpkin, you already know how to harvest your seeds.

Remove the pulp and seeds and rinse off the pulp (we use a colander and faucet). Put the remaining seeds in a bowl of water to further separate the pulp from the seeds.

The seeds you want are the ones that sink. Remove these and spread them out to dry for a few weeks. Make sure to mix them around at times to make sure that all sides are drying evenly.

Store safely for next season. Pumpkin seeds are usually viable for 4 years depending on storage.

So very comfy! I did not expect to love this as much as I do. I was worried about it being too hot. It’s not. I was used to sleeping with a quilt but this is so comforting, the weight of it is so cozy & perfect. I sized up with oversized king for my king size duvet cover. Its so fluffy and perfect for the aesthetic I wanted

So cozy!
Color: White, Size: King, Color: White, Size: King
I absolutely love this comforter! It's very cozy, soft, and fluffy! I bought it for a duvet that I have and it fits it perfectly. It has loops on all four sides to tie a duvet and comforter together, which is really helpful. This comforter is also breathable so it helps me sleep better at night because I'm not getting overheated. The color and appearance is true to the pictures it displayed. It also seems to be quite durable and good quality. I would definitely recommend for anyone needing a new cozy comforter!

Perfect summer blanket for hot sleepers
Color: Olive Green, Size: Oversized King
Oh my, we love this blanket so much. It's soft it's warm in our 65° bedroom at night I steal sometimes get too hot underneath of it and I have to uncover but it's not as bad as the one I had replaced it with which is going to be our winter blanket this is going to be our summer blanket. Can't say enough about how soft and cozy and comfortable this is it's not a heavy blanket which is not what we wanted anyways and when I make the bed it looks very nice and not puffy.

Solid Affordable Duvet Insert Comforter
Color: White, Size: Queen
This is a great affordable all-season duvet insert comforter. There are multiple tie downs to attach to the duvet cover, not just the 4 corners. It is soft and washes well. It's plenty warm in the cold but might be too much during the hotter months. I live in San Diego where the average yearly temperature is at least 70 degrees. During the majority of the year this comforter ended up being too warm for me. I've used it for nearly 2 years but just replaced it with the much thinner Bedsure cooling comforter. If you're a hot sleeper or live in a warm climate, I'd recommend that product. This is still a good comforter, just not for me.
