MSE PRO™ 150mm Portable Soil Irromerter Tensiometer
The MSE PRO Portable Soil Irrometer Tensiometer is a precision instrument designed to measure soil water potential using a pressure gauge, acrylic tube, and ceramic probe. When filled with water, the ceramic probe becomes saturated and reacts to the pressure difference between the soil and the tensiometer. This triggers water movement until equilibrium is reached, with the resulting pressure reading indicating the soil's water potential. Ideal for irrigation management and soil health monitoring, this device provides accurate, real-time measurements directly in the field.
- Direct Soil Water Potential Measurement: Accurately gauges soil water potential using pressure differential without requiring electronics or complex calibration.
- Simple, Durable Design: Constructed with a sturdy acrylic tube and ceramic probe for reliable long-term field use.
- No External Power Needed: Completely mechanical operation allows use in remote or off-grid locations.
- Real-Time Monitoring: Offers immediate pressure readings that reflect current soil moisture tension for efficient irrigation decisions.
- Prevents Air Entry: The ceramic probe seals out external air, maintaining consistent measurement accuracy.
