Yet, with time, it can reach 3 feet tall. 'Birkin' is a self-heading philodendron (meaning it does not climb and is self-supporting). ‘Birkin’ thrives in medium to bright, indirect light, so near windows but not so close for direct rays. Such light will bring out the patterns that make ‘Birkin’ a standout houseplant. This is where sheer curtains are your friend, softening the impression of light that would otherwise be too strong. ‘Birkin’ won’t be its same festive, streaky self in low light. This philodendron is no water hog. Aim for slightly moist soil, allowing the top couple of inches to go dry or just about before watering again. Prefers average to above-average relative humidity. If your space has particularly dry air, boost humidity by grouping 'Birkin' with other houseplants. Consider a small humidifier or large pebble tray. Although the stripey variegation is relatively stable, you might find yours producing some unexpected colors or patterns. All green, slight variegation, full cream, or even some pink. At 56 years old my skin is pretty dry but this was still a little to heavy for a face cream-- but usable in a pinch. What it is PERFECT for is for your hands before you go to sleep at night. You know you're going to touch your face and pillow during the night so heavily fragranced creams aren't good at all. This is thick enough to make your hands and cuticles feel great but gentle enough not to cause problems if transferred onto your face.

This product feels fantastic when you put it on. A little goes a very long way so you get a lot for your money. It does work great after just lightly drying your face. There isn’t much of a smell, which I prefer. I have very sensitive skin and this is so soothing to use. I’m also in my late 40’s so the soft, plump and smooth look achieved after using this is so nice. If it makes your skin greasy at all you are using too much.
