Aglaonema 'Arctic Lime'

Aglaonema 'Arctic Lime' is a compact Chinese evergreen grown for soft lime-green foliage with cream-green marbling and deeper green edges. It forms an upright, leafy clump from short stems, with new leaves opening close to the centre before expanding into broad, oval-lance-shaped blades. The plant stays tidy in a pot, with pale foliage held clearly above the crown as it fills.

This cultivar has a rounded indoor habit with a dense upright crown. Young plants usually stay compact and multi-stemmed. Established plants widen gradually as fresh shoots develop from the base. The light leaf colour gives the crown a clear pale-green surface while the plant remains compact.

Aglaonema 'Arctic Lime' quick profile

  • Compact, upright Aglaonema with a tidy clumping habit
  • Broad oval to lance-shaped leaves with lime, cream-green and deeper green patterning
  • Smooth, slightly arching foliage that builds a rounded crown
  • Warm indoor rooms with bright filtered or steady medium light

Lime foliage, crown shape and background

Aglaonema 'Arctic Lime' grows from short, cane-like stems carrying leaves on fleshy petioles. The leaves are broad, smooth and gently pointed, with a pale central field and darker green margins. Each leaf shows a slightly different distribution of colour, creating natural variation while keeping the overall colouring light and even.

Aglaonema belongs to the Araceae, a family known for spadix-and-spathe inflorescences. Indoors, this cultivar is kept for its foliage. Mature, settled plants may occasionally flower, producing small arum-type inflorescences, but the leaf crown carries most of the colour and structure. Removing spent inflorescences keeps the crown neat.

Wild Aglaonema species come from warm, humid, shaded tropical forest habitats across Asia and New Guinea. Keep the plant in filtered light, even moisture cycles, airy substrate and stable warmth. 'Arctic Lime' is a cultivated Aglaonema selection.

Growing Aglaonema 'Arctic Lime' indoors

  • Light: Place in bright, filtered light or a steady medium-light position. Strong midday sun can mark the pale leaf tissue, especially close to hot glass.
  • Watering: Water when the top 2–4 cm of substrate has dried. Keep the root ball lightly moist during active growth, then water more sparingly during cooler, darker months.
  • Substrate: Use a loose aroid or foliage-plant mix with coco coir or fine bark, mineral particles and good drainage. The mix needs some moisture retention with air around the roots.
  • Pot and drainage: Use a pot with drainage holes. Let excess water drain fully before returning the plant to a cover pot.
  • Temperature: Keep above 16 °C, with 18–26 °C giving steadier growth. Cold windowsills, draughts and wet substrate can lead to dark, water-soaked-looking patches.
  • Humidity: Average home humidity is usually tolerated, but moderate humidity reduces sticking and crisping on new leaves. A humidifier or grouping with other tropical plants can raise humidity in very dry rooms.
  • Feeding: Feed lightly in spring and summer with a balanced houseplant fertiliser at reduced strength. Excess fertiliser can scorch leaf edges.
  • Repotting: Repot when the roots fill the pot or watering becomes difficult to manage. Move up by one pot size to keep the root zone evenly moist.
  • Pruning: Remove yellowing older leaves at the base. Older stems can be shortened if the plant becomes tall and bare, encouraging new growth from lower nodes.
  • Propagation: Established plants can be propagated by division or stem cuttings with visible nodes. Warmth and steady moisture are important during rooting.
  • Semi-hydro substrates: Aglaonema can adapt to mineral or semi-hydro substrates when roots are transitioned gradually and kept warm. Start with a healthy, actively growing plant.

Aglaonema 'Arctic Lime' health checks

  • Yellow lower leaves: One old leaf at a time is normal ageing. Several yellow leaves together point to a wet root zone, poor drainage or a cold position.
  • Brown leaf tips: Check watering pattern, fertiliser strength and very dry indoor air. Flush the substrate occasionally if salts have built up.
  • Pale, papery patches: These usually come from direct sun or heat against a window. Move the plant further from the glass or filter the light.
  • Soft stems or sour-smelling substrate: Inspect the roots. Soft brown roots indicate that the substrate has stayed too wet or too cold.
  • Fine speckling or dull leaves: Check the undersides and petiole bases for mites. Rinse the foliage and isolate the plant before treatment.

Rotation, display and leaf cleaning

Place Aglaonema 'Arctic Lime' where its pale leaves can be seen from above and from the side. Rotate the pot every few weeks to keep the crown balanced, especially near a window. Wiping dust from the leaves keeps the marbled pattern clear and makes pest checks easier.

Pet safety for Aglaonema 'Arctic Lime'

Aglaonema contains insoluble calcium oxalate crystals. Keep Aglaonema 'Arctic Lime' away from pets and small children, as chewing the leaves or stems can irritate the mouth, tongue and throat. The sap can also irritate sensitive skin, so gloves are helpful when pruning or dividing the plant.

Classy look, but finish issue
This walnut wrist rest looks great on the desk—simple, solid, and much nicer than foam or gel options. It has a clean, polished style that pairs well with a keyboard, and the non-slip base keeps it from sliding around. I wasn’t sure how I would like it compared to the soft cushy pad I used before, but it’s actually been pretty comfortable. The firmness gives steady support, and I haven’t found it too uncomfortable even after longer typing sessions. The one drawback is a spot where the finish has worn or dissolved. It wasn’t there when I first got it, so I suspect the coating isn’t as durable as I’d hoped. It doesn’t affect how it feels in use, but it does stand out on an otherwise sharp-looking piece. Overall, it’s a nice upgrade if you want a wooden wrist rest, just be aware the finish might not stay flawless over time.

Classy, Comfortable, and Built to Last!
I’ve never tried a wooden wrist rest before, but after going through a few padded ones (even some expensive name-brand versions) that eventually peeled or fell apart, I figured this was worth a shot. And I’m so glad I did! This walnut wrist rest is smooth, beautifully made, and looks amazing on my desk. I have a whitewashed office setup, but this piece looks so good that I half-joked about wanting to change my desk to match it! It adds a very clean, grown-up aesthetic to the space. One thing I really appreciated is that it comes in several sizes to suit different setups. I ordered the largest available, and while it’s just a couple inches shy of covering the full length of my keyboard, it still works perfectly. It has non-slip grips on the bottom that keep it in place, and even though it’s made of solid wood, it’s surprisingly comfortable and ergonomic to type with. It’s also super low-maintenance—just wipe it clean with a damp cloth. For the $26–$29 price range, I think it’s a fantastic value and honestly better than some of the big-name options I’ve tried. This is a quality piece I expect to hold up for a long time, and I’m really happy with it!!

Check the height of your keyboard before ordering
This is a beautifully made, elegant looking wrist rest. The finish is satin perfectly smooth to the touch. As keyboards vary in height, be sure to measure he height of the front edge of yours before ordering—I didn’t (which is entirely my fault) and found that this wrist rest is just a wee bit too tall, which positioned my wrists a tad higher than I’m used to. Another factor you may want to consider are the ergonomics of solid wood versus other materials and your personal preferences (e.g., I tend to prefer cloth covered gel, because he cloth keeps my wrists from sticking and the gel is cushioning). My closing thought: this wrist rest is that it is by far the best looking of any wrist rest I’ve ever seen. Simply outstanding.
Color: Walnut, Size: 42.5 Inch, Color: Walnut, Size: 42.5 Inch
For years I was against monitor risers and stands as a concept easily defeated by VESA mount on monitor arms, but I overlooked a secondary function that monitor risers have: Display and storage. I have too many keyboards. Three that I regularly use. Now I can throw two of them in a drawer when not in use, or I can look at them and appreciate them all the time. I’m not a fan the usual keyboard displays either: awkward acrylic stepladders that they are. So had to figure out something else. I also have a headphone amplifier that I like quite a bit but was just sitting out on the desktop. So I looked at seemingly every monitor riser that exists on Amazon, and elsewhere and found that this Fenge product (Rodin on their website) fits the intersection of value, good build quality, and beautiful design aesthetic. Unlike the Hexcal shelf, which has great build quality and design, but costs $600+, for $109 (at time of purchase), you get a visually intriguing multilevel riser with aluminum hairpin feet, good sturdy materials, a beautiful (albeit synthetic) warm walnut finish (though available in four other finishes as well). Cleans easily with a dry or lightly damp rag. This isn’t your Mind Reader riser with all function but being an eye sore. It’s also pricey enough and has an interesting enough product to feel premium without being unreasonably priced for what you get. Building it was a pleasure. Packed so well, and everything in order as far as parts go. Wasn’t missing any, assembled so easily, and even better to see in person than in pictures. I have a 72” desk and had to rearrange some things to fit it, but well worth it. It serves the functions I need, but if you need more from it (like holding your devices), there’s another variant with phone, headphone and laptop stand built into this design. Also, if this isn’t visually interesting enough, there’s a third version with RGB and an acrylic lower shelf to create some illuminating pop on your workspace. As you can see, my workspace has no shortage of illumination as is, so I skipped that. But I think it did well. It partially displays my keyboard collection, stores my headphone amp, can hold a pen or two as I study, and I don’t need it to do much more on the regular. I know it won’t fit every desk aesthetic, but if you already have tech statement pieces on your desk, this may be the perfect complement.

Well made and stylish riser for my sit stand desk.
Color: White, Size: 42.5 Inch
I got this to provide a place to tuck my 49 key Arturia keyboard. The only thing I wish they would offer is a taller leg option by 1 or 2 inches in height. Regardless this thing is a beast and will easily hold a wide screen monitor or dual 27” monitors and space to tuck your laptop underneath on the middle shelf out of the way. I happen to have my monitor on an arm to provide even more usable space on the top. I have a USB switch on the right middle shelf and room for my AirPods on the left with room to spare. My Apple pencils fit perfectly on the tray as well as my iPad. In order to make this work for my application I ended up getting some acrylic cubes and silicone bumpers and pads to raise the height by two inches so my 49 key keyboard would easily fit underneath. It turned out really well for the look I wanted. If the legs were longer I wouldn’t have had to take it this far. The color is pure white and matches my desk color perfectly. It was super easy to put together. It is very solid and has a durable easy to clean finish. All in all I have no regrets making this purchase. It is very functional even without the height modifications that were specific to my needs. I will come back with a photo or two once I get settled in my new place and finish getting my studio set back up.
