Great for rock walls, rock or alpine gardens, hillsides, or a rocky area where erosion control is needed. Plant Lewisia in full sun or morning sun and afternoon shade. Good drainage and lean soil are the keys to success with these plants, but water when flowering. Thanks to its compact form, it makes a lovely container plant too, just be sure to keep the soil lean and use a gravel mulch.
