Foxfire Tropical Water Lily (Craig Presnell Hybrid)

The Foxfire Water Lily is an award-winning tropical water lily from world-renowned hybridizer Craig Presnell, famous for its electric, multi-toned blooms. Each flower is a dazzling blend of blue-violet outer petals, violet-pink mid-petals, and a glowing crown of golden yellow stamens. The blooms are bold, flat, stellate in shape, and can reach up to 12 inches across in peak form. Heavily mottled pads—painted green and purple—make Foxfire as stunning at the water’s surface as the flowers are above it.

This tropical variety is prized by collectors, show growers, and hobbyists alike. In large plantings, Foxfire Water Lily can grow into a true giant, with spreads of 15–22 feet across, pads measuring 20–26 inches, and show-stopping flowers. Yet, for smaller spaces, it adapts beautifully: kept in a 3–5 gallon container, Foxfire stays compact at 5–8 feet wide, with 7–12 inch pads—making it one of the most versatile tropical pond plants available today. Always a customer favorite, Foxfire Tropical Water Lily thrives in the north as an annual, delivering spectacular color in a single season.

🌱 Planting & Care Instructions

  • Water Lily Spread: 6–14 feet (or larger in expansive containers/ponds)

  • Foxfire Water Lily Container Size: Wide, shallow fabric pond pot (12–14 inches recommended)

  • Foxfire Water Lily Depth: 6–24 inches of water over the crown

  • Foxfire Water Lily Soil: Plant in heavy loam soil only (no bagged composted mixes, which rot underwater). For areas without good loam, use PondGro Aquatic Loam Soil, adding up to 40% play sand to increase volume.

  • Fertilizing Foxfire Water Lily: 5–10 Waterlily World Fertilizer Tablets on the 1st and 15th of each month, from early spring to mid-August (safe for fish and all pond plants except carnivorous types).

  • Fragrance: Yes, sweet and pleasing

  • Winter Hardiness: Best in USDA Zones 9–12; grow as an annual in cooler zones

💡 PondMegastore Tip: For show-quality size, provide Foxfire with a large container, heavy feeding, and full summer sun. For smaller gardens, restrict it to a modest 3–5 gallon pot for a contained but still breathtaking display.

✅ Do’s & ❌ Don’ts for Foxfire Water Lily

Do’s
✅ Use a wide, shallow fabric pond pot (12–14 in.)
✅ Plant in heavy loam soil, topping with ½ in. sand -- Never pea gravel
✅ Fertilize generously twice per month (5–10 tablets) during growing season; 4-7 tablets on 1st and 15th of each month during growing season.
✅ Provide full sun (6+ hours daily) for maximum flower power
✅ Allow room for spread if you want Foxfire’s giant, show-winning size

Don’ts
❌ Don’t use bagged potting soil (compost will rot underwater)
❌ Don’t skip feeding—Foxfire needs nutrients for its large flowers
❌ Don’t overcrowd—this water lily needs space to shine
❌ Don’t expect it to overwinter outdoors north of Zone 9 (replant each spring as an annual)

poli glow shine
its works great .when applying more coats the shinier it gets i used on several old boats because the florida sun bakes the jell coat right off and no wax made can withstand salty seas , so why not ,, when you apply use the mit and don't gob it on .. nice and easy and recoat in five minutes when you get to about five coats you will be amazed.looks like new .. just a tip also after about a year or so and you want to re apply,, go to your local hardware store and get a gallon of high strength or non diluted floor stripper and put in spray bottle and use to remove old poli-glow also great for cleaning stubborn stains [ i use full strength ] just spray on and brush with a scrub brush and rinse ..and let dry and re apply ,, its also works on car faded bumpers ,, also never use harsh cleaners it will cause streaking the best thing i have found for cleaning the boat after poli glow was put on is car wash from auto store with wax or not it seems not to hurt the shine . it reminds me of mop an glow,,.

Poli Glow used on bottom portion of the picture
Just put it on 21 foot RV, was impressed with the shine. Key is to make sure the applicator is moist. I periodically dampen with water. Realizing it wasn't going to revive the stickers. Question is How long it will last? What will it look like after it rains? Pictures attached, bottom portion was done with poli glow on June 7,2026 and I have just under a half of bottle left. Maybe I will update once it rains or how long the shine last.

Bringing a 1976 MG Midget to the modern world!
Material Type: 157mil Closed Cell Foam, Style: 157 mil 36 SqFt
I've been restoring a 1976 MG Midget barn find. I bought some Sinless liner to help make the car rattle less and feel more solid. This product is easy to cut, easy to install, and extremely sticky. I used it to line the trunk, the interior, and even some under the hood of the old MG. The adhesive stands up to the brutal temperature of the engine bay, and when (by accident) some fuel spilled onto the foam, it didn't fall apart or turn to mush. Thanks to Siless, the MG now feels like a modern car. The floor pans feel much more solid, the doors make a heftier thud when you close them, and the trunk no longer sounds like a percussion instrument when you touch it. If you know what you're doing, this product will transform the feel of a car. I found that 36 sq ft was enough for my MG Midget, but for a bigger car I would want more. The pattern on the back helped me to cut perfectly measured squares and rectangles. The foam itself doesn't have a strong odor, it works super well, and has held up to several months of changing temperatures (in the Midwest US.)
