For the everyday gardener looking to maximize the vibrance and health of their low-pH favorites, the Mother Earth Acid Drop 3-4-6 Fertilizer is a powerhouse solution. Specifically formulated to lower soil pH while delivering essential nutrients, this granular fertilizer takes the guesswork out of caring for acid-loving beauties like Rhododendrons, Azaleas, Camellias, and Blueberries.
The "why" behind this formula is its selection of natural, pH-supportive ingredients like alfalfa meal and bat guano. These components don't just feed the plant; they support the acidic environment necessary for these species to efficiently absorb nutrients. Gardeners using this blend can expect dense, resinous buds, larger flowers, and strikingly vibrant colors.
Actionable Tips for Success:
-
How to Apply: Sprinkle the granules evenly around the base of the plant. For best results, gently scratch them into the top layer of soil to prevent caking and ensure the nutrients reach the root zone.
-
Watering: Always water thoroughly immediately after application to "activate" the granules and move nutrients down to the roots.
-
Frequency: Apply every 4–6 weeks during the active growing season.
-
Pro-Tip: If you use acidic mulch like pine needles or rotted sawdust, pull the mulch back before applying the fertilizer, then replace it once you've watered.
Mother Earth Acid Drop 3-4-6 Fertilizer (4.4lb) is a top choice for outdoor ornamental shrubs and fruit-bearing bushes.
