Under perfect conditions these can reach impressive sizes at maturity, up to 10' tall. But regular pruning will help keep them at your preferred size.
They can tolerate full sun or part shade, but they do not like the soil to dry out for too long.
These are cold hardy, but foliage may die off after a hard frost. The roots will still survive and the plant will bounce back in the spring. Just prune back any dead foliage after a cold spell.
