Maca (Peruvian Ginseng) - 25 Seeds

Lepidium meyenii

Maca is a hardy root crop that comes from the high Andes of Peru, where it has been cultivated for centuries. It belongs to the Brassica family, like radish and turnip, and forms a swollen root that can be harvested and eaten. The taste is earthy with a hint of nuttiness.

In different cultures, it is known as Peruvian Ginseng, Lepidium meyenii (its botanical name), or simply Maca root.

How to Grow

  • Sowing depth: 5 mm deep

  • Plant spacing: 10–15 cm between plants

  • Row spacing: 30–40 cm between rows

  • Germination time: 7–14 days

  • Optimal germination temperature: 15–20 °C

  • Soil type: Loose, well-drained soil with good fertility. Sandy or loamy soil is best for root development. Aim for a neutral pH (6.0–7.5).

  • Watering: Keep the soil evenly moist, especially in the early stages. Avoid waterlogging, which can rot the roots.

  • Fertiliser: Add compost or aged manure before planting. Light side-dressings of organic fertiliser during growth will support healthy roots. Too much nitrogen encourages leafy growth at the expense of roots.

  • Sunlight: Full sun to partial shade. Maca tolerates cooler conditions better than heat.

Harvest

  • Roots are ready in about 6–7 months after sowing.

  • Harvest when roots are firm and 3–5 cm in diameter.

  • Leaves are also edible when young and can be used like other leafy greens.

Possible Uses

  • Roots can be roasted, boiled, or dried.

  • Traditionally, maca roots are dried and ground into a flour for cooking or baking.

  • Leaves can be picked young and eaten raw or cooked.

Comfy soft pillow covers
Color: 02 - White, Size: Queen (20" X 30"), Color: 02 - White, Size: Queen (20" X 30")
Absolutely love these pillow cases! I bought 2 sets. After I received them & washed & dried them they did remain wrinkly. I just went ahead and put them on my pillows & the wrinkles went away. I continue to love the feel, coolness & comfort. Will definitely buy more.

These Bamboo Pillowcases Made Me Realize I Sleep Hot
Color: 07 - Cream, Size: Queen (20" X 30"), Color: 07 - Cream, Size: Queen (20" X 30")
I bought these mostly because I kept hearing people talk about bamboo pillowcases and honestly thought it sounded a little overhyped, but I totally get it now. The first thing I noticed was how cool they felt compared to regular cotton. I tend to get warm when I sleep and flip my pillow a million times during the night looking for the cold side, and these actually stay noticeably cooler longer. They also feel really soft without having that weird slippery texture some silky pillowcases have. My skin has been less irritated lately and my hair definitely looks less frizzy in the mornings. I have thick hair that tangles easily overnight, and these have helped more than I expected. Another thing I appreciate is that they’ve washed well so far. I was worried they’d pill or lose softness after a wash cycle, but they still feel smooth and nice. They also just make the bed feel cleaner and more comfortable overall. One of those small upgrades that ends up making a bigger difference than you’d think.

Sheets are good. Greens don't match
Color: 08 - Sage Green, Size: King (20" X 36"), Color: 08 - Sage Green, Size: King (20" X 36")
I purchased the sage green sheets to go along with another Bedsure comforter, then purchased 2 more pillow cases (because i I like a lot of pillows) and the greens don't exactly match. This doesn't REALLY bother me as I feel like its fine with a little "texture." Sheets feel nice and light and I love the look of it in my room.
